Thank you again, I was at the Avits office today and I was able to drop offnmy documents without the ois appointment letter, they only asked for the Avits letter and with other drop =box documents...........

from my experience, the OIS people appear confused..b4 they were honoring ois dates for dropoffs, but now..they say its avits date, mine was 26th avits date, booked 29th ois date....went on 29th was turned back, and it was so painfully, cos i flew in and out. your best bet is to go on the avits date. show the people at the gate the avits letter, they should let you in. presently/last month...the avits date was superior to the ois date....hope they hvnt changed yet again, when u go

Am in same boat, ticket on hold close to 1 month now.
Both rescheduling and attempting to book a fresh appointment i get the receipt not found errors

How did dates for b1b2 suddenly move from feb 20 2025 to Jan 2026 for Abuja?

I can confirm that selecting waiver works for the IW. My issue is now picking a submission date. Only dates in Lagos is end of January. Has anyone seen any earlier dates. Like for December? Am I able to select drop off in Abuja?

So after getting directed to interview, I created a new account for my mom and was able to get interview waiver. My issue is that the only appointments for Lagos drop-off are end of January. Has anyone seen any earlier dates by chance? Am I able to change to drop off in Abuja. Also those who picked dates, did the calendar also say Consulate Appointment? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, should I expect a message that my passport is ready for pick up from OIS or AVIt or from the embassy? I have been checking ois site but kept saying not ready for pick up it been over 5 days now but saw that the passport has been issued

There are actually dates on the consulate calendar as at yesterday (Friday) because I went through the process and after responding to all the questions, it took me directly to the Interview waiver section and I picked Tuesday the 26th which is less than a week.

Ps: I didnt click on the waiver option because in my head it is a settled thought that I was going in for a regualr appointment, I clicked on the blanket option for the annotation and answered all the questions normally and it still took me to the IW section .........This thing is just unpredictable sometimes......

My ticket has been on hold for 2 months now. You are the first person I have seen that raised a ticket and had an issue resolved.

For the one resolved, the error message "no active receipt " pops up whenever I wanted to reschedule appointment. The 1st ticket I raised was closed with the tag "resolved", even when the issue was not resolved. I then raised another ticket to complain about the issue and the fact that my ticket was tagged resolved, when the issue persisted. After which I kept checking to reschedule whenever I remember.

On a particular day, I just checked and discovered I can now reschedule and which I successfully did. I later observed the ticket changed to resolved.

If you are able to get an IW appointment letter from Avits stating the date and time, you can proceed and drop your documents. I can confirm this to you because as at yesterday, I couldn't get an ois date for drop off but someone encouraged me here and when i got to their Lagos office, it was almost as if their own appointment request letter had been cancelled because they never asked for it........

You can only get the option to download and print the IW letter when you have picked a date because the letter carries the details of the time and date you have chosen. After answering all the questions, it tells you that from the answers you gave that you are qualified for IW and further asks you if you would want want to explore that option, upon an affirmative response then it takes you directly to the calender and maybe I was lucky or the date was just available at the time, I got the 26th of November, 2024. You can always pick the date you can see so that you can conclude the process then get the IW letter after which you can use the reschedule option to be checking better dates.......

Yea, you can't apply for a non-immigrant visa with a pending immigrant visa application in process, that's dual intent. If you apply a hundred times, they will deny you a thousand times. Just wait for your spousal visa approval. Sorry

Then she asked me what am I going to the US to do and how long do I intense to stay.

After all the questions, aunty told me there is an open visa application with my documents (spousal visa actually ) till I get a response nothing the can do.

I really do not know what is going on with that website. How did it move from feb 2025 to 2026??. Although yesterday I saw for today but its too close for my mom to get to abuja for the interview.

I also had a duplicate applicant issue but got around that by sending an email to the Lagos niv email using the format someone mentioned on this thread. Similar to your experience, I logged on and noticed the error popup stopped appearing and I was on the payment page.

You were meant to wait for an email from them to onboard you on the new website since you already had an appointment on the old website .Send a ticket to them explaining.It will be sorted out eventually.

There needs to be someone with the decency and conscience to do the right thing . People having to pay twice is very unjust.

Please, do we have someone here who did interviewed in Abuja and picked up in Lagos free of charge? How long did it take to get the passport? If this applies to you or you know someone in this situation, please speak up and help a soul.🙏🙏

I agree. The new issue is that I paid with my dollar card, but did not get a payment confirmation, but the money has ben taken off my card and I was able to make an appointment. Now I don't have proof of payment. I think I may use the old first bank receipt that was paid first since that is valid for a year. Fingers crossed that they accept it.

Please does anyone know if OIS accepts drop offs and pick ups via proxy. What do I need to get this done.Thanks in advance.
