Time will tell. To ensure efficiency of this refinery, government should just privatise or concession it to private investors to run. Government can payoff the current staff and let the private investors take charge of the staffing.. 4 Likes |

There should be a framework that helps privately owned refineries not sidelined when it comes to crude supply. This should enable healthy competition that drives growth in the oil sector. This is when the president can truly earn his flowers, if both NNPCL refineries and Privately owned refineries work perfectly such that we earn considerable forex by them. 1 Like |

I am so relieved they are actually producing petrol. I saw an interview with a former MD of the refinery and he said the rehabilitated refinery (i.e PH 1) would not produce petrol only diesel. That was my fear. I am so relieved they are actually producing petrol! Well done to Buhari, well done to Tinubu, well done to Kyari, well done Nigeria. Now that importation of refined petroleum is somewhat fading off, the vultures have shifted their attention to our indigenous refinery. It'll only be a Win-win situation if these force down the price of petrol and other petroleum products. I hope these will also force Dangote to reduce her fuel loading price? |

LOL, All of a sudden NNPC is " showing samples" . All of a sudden PH refinery is working and trucks are already loading. Suddenly , Suddenly  Nigeria is a crime scene and the APC is the biggest criminal cartel in history. Na 60 thousand capacity refurbished refinery them dey make noise about so,the other 150 thousand capacity is yet to go on stream till mid 2025 as they proposed.which part of the country the 60 thousand capacity want to serve compared to 650 thousand capacity Dangote refinery.i don't think this can serve beyond portharcourt and nearest neighboring states ,thank God for Dangote for resetting the brains of these wicked guys in government and NNPC. 2 Likes 1 Share |
