Cyprus CAN pay the dues. They "need" the protection from NATO. As for whether US/UK stand anything to benefit, I'm sure they would like access to the entire Island rather than just two small pieces of land on the coast and a small listening post on the Troodos mountains

But if you truly understand politics and power, you'd know that checks and balances are crucial. And that is why Russia, China, North Korea, and others come in. In reality, countries prioritize their own interests over loyalty. You have a lot to learn, and if you're willing to pay, I'd be happy to educate you on global politics and history.
