The Directorate for Combating Illegal Migration, in partnership with the International Organisation for Migration, has facilitated the repatriation of over 150 Nigerian migrants, primarily women and children, through Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli.

The development was announced on Tuesday by Migrant Rescue Watch, an advocacy group, in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

In its statement, Migrant Rescue Watch disclosed, “DCIM repatriated with IOM support over 150 #migrants, mainly women with children of Nigerian nationality via Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli.”

Recall that the Libyan authorities also arrested four Nigerians in Sabha and Bani Walid on charges related to drug trafficking and testing positive for infectious diseases.

If you still believe that Nigeria is the giant of Africa, then you need to get checked for mental stability. Every dick and Harry from Niger to Libya to Togo is deporting Nigerians with no concrete reason and we've not been able to do anything to combat this disgrace.

When the economy was great, Nigerians still left in droves, talk less of now when the government is something else with the dwindling economy. Libya and Morocco should brace up for impact because they would be having more uninvited Nigerian guests now than before...

Women and children!!!

Some single Nigerian ladies will go to Libya and come back with children from different men. Some deliberately got pregnant to get sympathy from rescuers and NGOs from EU. This one has backfired. Imagine coming to Nigeria with kids with no sources of livelihood in Nigeria, other than the usual transport fare given to you to go back to your State.

These are people without papers. That is a concrete reason to be repatriated.

I know a lady that made a lot there and now back to Nigeria, she hadls built a house, has some vehicles for transport biz and borrows people money.
