The largest motto cycle spare parts market there is popularly called "Ogbomoso" because a street called Ogbomoso street passes there, yet Igbos dominate the market totally and completely and bring all their goods from Nnewi. So whatever name you give markets in Lagos is irrelevant. Let's see how your government will move Igbo man's goods to Yoruba man's shop

Ladipo market has already been developed before the Ibo spare part dealers came go bastardize this area. This axis used to be a well-structured industrial estate before Ibo spare parts came there to mess up the entire place. The only benefits of these Ibo people trading in this axis to the Lagos state government are the taxes remitted to the state treasury.
Most of where these spare part are being sold are already established warehouse spaces owned by Yoruba people. ....so, no be Ibo develop Ladipo market , the only came to mess it up. ...and with or without them. The place is developed

Why wasn't the original Industrial estate renamed to Benjamin Adekunle Industrial Estate, why rename the market instead that was not originally part of that place before.

Such thing can never happen in the Eastern markets. So it's not a big deal like you are making it appear.


Igbos in the East doesn't even rate Yorubas, not to talk of competing against them.

almost all big markets in Lagos have Yoruba names especially Tinubu's mother name taking the lead. I'm surprised Ladipo market is named after an Igbo man.

During his tenure, he despised Yoruba people and relegated the high-ranking Yoruba officer (Lt General Babafemi Ogundipe) in his cabinet to the position of Janitor.
Naming any part of Yoruba territory after Aguyi Ironsi insults the entire Yoruba race. This man made no contributions to the Yoruba race. Lt Adekule Fajuyi died alongside him, but his people refer to him as a treacherous person.

Primitive even in the brain! Here in the East, it doesn't matter we still have Aderemi Adeoye street in Awka, Dayo Okunlola street,Soji Salau street etc. Names of streets mean nothing to us.
