I don't have a problem with the Tax Bill itself. My issue is that the money will still be stolen by greedy politicians, taking from the poor to add to their millions. |

All these are distractions from the fact that it is intended to benefit Lagos. If you're going to benefit Lagos, you must address oil/gas sharing formula as well. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. |

This is how they'll sweet-talk the innocent masses, then when the bill is passed, implementation will trickle down to even POS operators and roadside vendors. Very cruel and irresponsible generation of Politicians! |

Hope all these touts collecting revenue mostly in Abuja markets and recreational parks without accounting any would be stopped. The way this country is structured is annoying and frustrating empowering touts, agberos everyday. There's so much money flying around in this country that can't be accounted for. Hope Tinubu's policies addresses this and put Nigeria on a right part for the first time. |

Tinubu is clearly the most prepared for the job no matter how you want to look at it Nigeria will never remain the same by the time he’s done and I hope we get regional governance at the end of it nnewsnjobs:They would tax only the N70,000 above your N1m. I’m surprised a lot of folks don’t know how taxation works (or they’ve not been paying) |

So if my monthly gross is 1,070,000. what would now be my tax, are they going to tax me so that I would now earn below 1m or are they going to take just the 70k and leave me with 1m. |

The devil of this executive bill is in the details. If Tinubu tells you good morning, you need to come out and check to be sure it's truly morning and not afternoon or evening. Was it not the same Tinubu that promised Nigerian workers a decent living wage only for him to arrive at 70k? Was it not the same Tinubu that promised NLC that if they accept 70k minimum wage, PMS won't go beyond 600/L? Was it not the same Tinubu who said Nigeria can't afford to borrow and pay for subsidy only for him to remove subsidy and still keep borrowing? From May 29th, 2023 to date, what has Tinubu really achieved? |
