New Tax Reform: Why You Should Be Worried by blacksam01(op): 7:54pm On Nov 28, 2024
Again, with the same pattern,. The president jets out , his policy makers go straight to NASS to argue out a previously rejected tax bill... The Senate president (his henchman) and his gang of NASS members are all alert to help him. Push through a very implicating tax reform on guess who..?

U! I mean you!!! You that is pressing his phone and reading this and behaving as though it's not your concern... See, u will be taxed to penury...

The president's team are quick to defend that the tax is not for the poor, but for the high income earners... And they illustrated that it will fall upon person's earning from 1million naira annually and above...

Now let's get our calculators out... Do u know if u earn a paltry 85k monthly, u will have crossed the 1milkion naira annual earning mark... So that is to say, the tax is for everyone.. cuz I know ordinary supervisor at any fast food earn that....

Pay your fair share to developing this country instead of relying on resources from the SS and VAT from Lagos and Rivers to run your moribound states.

Maybe, just maybe, when you have to pay income tax , you will hold your thieving governors to account and let the federal govt and other productive states breathe.

U mean pay your fair fair share for embezzlement ..There are currently 60 taxes and 200 levies with nothing to show...but y'all are calling for more taxes....

A contractor that ddnt achieve a thing after being disbursed 50million will not do anything if u add another 50million....it's the same excuse...."its not enough" .....yet one state governor stole 80billion ..

One would have thought that since you have so much of our interest in mind, you would have dissected the bill and told us specific areas where it does not benefit us, instead you just try words around and then attempt to force us into a conclusion.

What development?? Can u give meat to eat to keep for you?? If u don't cage the rat u won't see the meat, no matter how plenty the meat is...

Sir..there is a corruption climate over Nigeria that has become a norm.....the move we need is to stop corruption, embezzlement, and oil theft ....there is too much revenue leakage and the leaders we have just feel the resources is for them....

The keep spreading propaganda that Nigeria is broke, Nigeria is not broke....and paying more taxes will only lead to to same thing: putting more money in the pockets of greedy executives and house of reps members who have no business with further allocation from our common wealth in the name of constituency project in the same backyard of governors

It is everywhere, in every state...from abia to Lagos, to zamfara, maiduguri, ondo to cross Rover......that is what we are saying...open your eyes....u own is tribalism

They took away subsidy on oil and the backing on naira only to enrich the executives by increasing allocation.......See there is no where in the world u will give anybody so much access to money that it won't lead to embezzlement.....
..... Increase the tax to 700 trillion per day.....it is this same spot we will remain....
Money meant from everybody is supposed to be channelled into what everybody will benefit...many countries have it in their health care, education system,

We have refused to tighten oil production and eradicate oil theft to increase our barrels per day....all we want is to do is increase tax.

..tax who??
60 percent of ur citizens earn between 30- 80k per month.... foreign investors are leaving...the ones remaining are all posting losses..

..Tax what? Y'all just want to keep taxing capital instead of income....

Continue deceiving yourself in dreamland that he will tax hardworking people of Nigeria to develop those one living in remote oshun , oyo etc . It can never happen. Tinubu have brought back kwashiorkor to SW according to Dr Folusho Balogun of UCH Ibadan
