Good evening everyone. Thanks for all the helpful posts. I have my interview this coming Monday 2nd Dec. The issue is I’m traveling out of the country on Thursday 5th Dec & cannot move the trip as it’s from work. I also don’t want to reschedule my interview date as the available dates I’m seeing are too far away. I plan to just go ahead and attend the interview. Should the interview turn out to be successful, can I request to keep my passport until I come back from my trip then submit it for the visa? Or is it possible for my visa to be issued in 1 day and I get my passport back with the visa on Wednesday 4th, before my trip on Thursday? Is that something that they do? Thank you. I’m a first time applicant so don’t know how their own system works.

You will likely miss 1 of them.choose wisely the one you would miss....

Oh no. I’m definitely going for the appointment. The worst that can happen is I leave with my passport, forgo the visa & might try again another time. It’s not that big a deal to me. But I’m not leaving my passport unless I’m guaranteed to get it back Wednesday.

You can request that you send your passport when you’re back from your trip .Just in case take evidence of the the trip you’re going for .

Hi Guys,

So, I have some questions and concerns

I paid for my visa in the old portal and applied for Interview waiver.
Now, after migration to the new portal, my application just shows regular with no information about how and where to drop my passport.

my question is, Can i just walk in into the embassy and do an interview instead?
If not, what do i need to do for the IW process? I have been reading people talking about OIS but not sure how it works. Do I need to register on the OIS website and pick a date for passport dropoff that corresponds to the one on my application at AVITS?
Can I register for this on the day of my appointments?

Sorry for the many questions. I am just a bit worried as my interview is in few days and I wnat to get it right before leaving the US. (My current visa has expired)

I just tried using a Chase credit card and it failed again. Just wanted to confirm before I go to firstbank for the deposit option tomorrow since the card isn’t working

Hello, I’m not in Nigeria. I don’t think it matters, so far you put the right billing address on the card profile.

I can guide you on how to make the payment online through your bank, which is more convenient than going to the branch. However, if you still choose to visit the bank, ensure your invoice remains valid until Monday.
