No where in the world PMS is sold as produced from distillation processes. It must be passed through blending processes to meet up predetermined standard.

They're announcing it as if it's a new refinery. If not for Nigerian factor, why would refineries be dormant whereas the staff are getting ALL their allowances and bonuses paid fully. ? Everything is upside down Here.

Adding aromatic reformate C5 crack (a waste from Petrochemical plants) to straight run naptha is not the blending process of a functional refinery, and is same as getting petrol (or more specifically straight run naphtha) from illegal bush drum refineries, and adding octane boosters to it to make it meet octane standards and selling same to the public without any consideration for the health hazards presented by the aromatics in the octane boosters, which are well documented to cause cancer.

There is a reason why the more advanced societies do not produce petrol using such scamming shortcuts. A normal refinery process will pass the straight run naphtha through a Hydro treater to produce more of branched hydrocarbons and less of carcinogenic aromatics( Benzine). These are then mixed with more or less of the straight run naphtha to get gasoline with precise octane numbers. That is blending in a refinery.

The Federal Government should not trade the health of Nigerians for petrol. NMDPRA should ensure the benzene and aromatic contents of both Dangote Refinery and Port Harcourt Refinery gasoline, does not exceed that of normal gasoline.

Who knows who will fall victim to a cancer because of fuel. You that is writing nonsense here because of politics, how will you avoid toxic car fumes when walking down the street?

You see it is Bayo Onanugu news paper that is quick to herald the misleading news but the content still full of garbage.

The news making round is trucking began on Tuesday but reading this news from Bayo Onanugu stable, he claimed they started on Monday.

Secondly, they claimed NNPC have started trucking but price have not been fixed, meaning NNPC doesn't know what they are doing. You have started selling product without fixing price for it.

Again, the old news says, trucks have started moving out of the Portharcout refinery but this news says, no truck has moved out.
This news merely corroborate what the village secretary said, that it was only 6 trucks that was loaded.

My own bias comment is this.
Why should the management of NNPC called for loading when price has not been fixed and the fuel not yet readily available to be dispense to the truckers?

This shows the management were not truthful about the message ditched out to the public.

As a Nigerian, it is my joy for our refineries to be working but the management should not play prank on Nigerians. There should be transparency, as the citizens deserved the right to know the truth.
I don't think anybody is putting gun over anybody's head to get the refinery to work, why been anxious to show off rather than diligently working to get it done.
They should know that the citizens are aware the trillions that Buhari administration sunk into revamping the refineries and patriotic citizens are waiting anxiously to see the fruits of the money spent.

So every achievement they would want to tarnish, Tinubu has been 80% truthful in his govt only that Nigerians have like believing what ever they like and disbelief the ones they don't. Pls citizens learn to hold it state governor's accountable for ur state development , stop accusing federal when you have a sitting governor.
Akpabio and Wike did well as governor's and that should be a template for other sitting governors to do same & follow such footprints rather than been idle .

There is no crime using one common sense. It saves a great deal.
If you've read this news as you claimed, you will see so many abnormalities that call for concern.
Let me reel out those abnormalities as captured by this newsline.
