No, at least not until you heal enough to. In the meantime, either a nurse or a family member (if you insist) with have to wash you up with water, soap, and a towel, on the recovery bed (hospital or at home after discharge). This is done daily to keep you clean.

Hmm true but doctors encourage movement whenever possible. Someone i am close to was wiped down in the bathroom the day after a 5 hour abdominal surgery
