Pay your tax, pay your tax, the ones we have been paying what have they been doing with it.... let stop supporting all these impunity going on, the increased tax is too much for christ sake. How can you hustle to make over a 100M and give Government that don't even know what you went through to make it 25%... that's stealing
Firstly, no one is increasing taxes to 25%, instead there a planned reduction in company income tax from the current 30% to 25% by 2026. Stop feeding on gossip. Tax is an important part of revenue generation. How anyone would ask the importance of paying taxes shows high end ignorance. 100million naira is a lot of money, you don't hustle to make it. Hustling is itself the stealing if you really know the meaning of hustle. Like i said, there's a REDUCTION in company income tax, i don't know why you ignorantly don't want it but prefer to pay more. Company tax is not personal tax. Please do a bit of reading on the issues, it's irritating to spoon feed especially when minds are already made up.

But the south west has been enjoying oil proceed from naija delta
Ondo State in the South West is an oil producing state, and Lagos State also produces some crude oil too, albeit in an uninsignificant quantity.

Ndume did not clash with the FIRS Chairman, this caption is vilifying him.

He is telling the deputy senate president to stop sneaking very important items on the itnerary of te senate last minute.

It looks likes the deputy senate president, adds important stuff to senate hearing last minute, knowing fully well not all the senators are present.

This is a common trick and fraud perpetrated by the senate. When they have something controversial to vote or pass, they do it behind the senators that will oppose.

Ndume being a seasoned senator knows all these tricks and is telling the deputy senate president to let other senators know ahead of time the magnitude of what he wants to add as a supplementary item to the list.

I FULLY SUPPORT SENATOR NDUME ON THIS ISSUE.
But when saraki was elected SP while senators who would oppose him were absent, you were happy!!

In has much there was a quorum in the house anything the DSP did was in order and section 1b. the senate leader came under made his actions very much in order.

Why do you assume i support an illegality.
You dont know me !!!
I dont support Saraki's selection versus election
Ndume is right, deputy senate president cannot be waiting for half of senate to deliberate on an important thing like the Tax bill.
Stop using nonsense to justify more nonsense.
And dont assume everybody has a tribe or religious bias.....Thats delusional.

Pay your taxes oga and stop whining. You want things to work but you don't want to pay taxes. Is that how it's done in countries that you look up to?
The tax I've paid to the useless Tinubu government this year alone is enough to feed you for two years. Stop replying people like a fool

The section 1.b. of the house standing rules the senate leader came under made the DSP 's actions in order.

Too many stupid people commenting on this issue.

That is how they were jubilating when Tinubu gleefully announced subsidy is gone and today we are battling with massive inflation.

This tax bill will do nothing but create more hardship and suffering for poor Nigerians.

The tax bill is proposing to raise VAT from 7.5% to 15% and you're being deceived by propaganda of north not contributing to VAT but enjoying the benefit.

90% of the vatable items are things consumed by southerners (south south, south east, south west and parts of middle belt).... When they pass this bill, the price of everything that is manufactured in the market and is vatable will be increased in southern Nigeria.... that is when your eyes will open and you'll start crying.

Tinubu is not tackling corruption... You don't hear of him sending bill to national assembly to make death sentence the punishment for corruption.... But he's busy sending bill to raise taxes for poor Nigerians and borrow more dollars, funds that he'll loot.

There's a reason Kenyan youths brought their country to a standstill because of this same tax bill their president used corrupt legislators to pass through...

Keep watching comedy skits and laughing your life away while these stupid corrupt politicians look for ways to make your life a living hell.

Sha improve your begging skills and hope that those you beg for assistance are stupid enough to help you when the time comes and the suffering increases
Exactly. A country where citizens provide electricity, healthcare, security, education, amongst others, for themselves, should not be strangled umder any useless Tax reform.

The only area this government has been focusing since he came into power is tax... Nigeria and Nigerians have been doing and living better before he came into power, since he came into power he has made life unbearable and still doing so till date

Be factual please, the FG has not touched anything tax, except for this current attempt at tax reforms. The tax routine has been same as before the current government.

Chief you are missing the point here, the bill has so many sections, you shouldn't be deceived by SENATOR NDUME statement on the tax exemption by certain classes who earn below a million,
Ndume failed to remind us that he only opposed the bill because state will only be paid a certain percentage of what the generated as revenue, meaning the more you generate revenue the more percentage of what you will be given as allocation, this will in turn affect the north because they ban so many goods and stuff ( Sharia) in their region but still share the tax and revenue generated from that
So if this scale up they will be forced to stop and rethink on how to embrace development into their state rather than allowing Hisbah determine what is bad and good, yet do not reject the money that comes wit it
This also will help identify those governors with zero sense of how to attract investment into their states as state will be forced to provide for themselves rather waiting for other states like rivers, delta and Lagos to bring the bulk of money to the table for all states to share
