casualobserver:Stop celebrating your idiocy online.Kemi is a second generation immigrant and also a citizen. If she was born after 1983, she would only have been a second generation immigrant and not necessarily a citizen. Stop bamboozling electorate, because he is right. you need to get your facts in order. A second-generation immigrant refers to someone born in the country to parents who are immigrants. In other words, their parents moved from another country, and the second-generation individual is a native-born citizen of the country in which they reside. Here are some key points about second-generation immigrants: • Parents’ Immigration: The parents of a second-generation immigrant are typically first-generation immigrants, meaning they were born in a different country and later moved to the country where their children are born. • Born in the New Country: The second-generation individual was born in the country their parents immigrated to, so they are a citizen of that country by birthright. • Cultural Identity: They may experience a mix of the culture and traditions of their immigrant parents’ country and the culture of the country they were born in. • Language and Integration: The second generation might speak the local language fluently and integrate more easily into the social and economic fabric of the country, but they may also retain some language and cultural practices from their parents’ country of origin. |

malali:I really hate eeediots disturbing my peace. Her parents were not immigrants …that nullifies your entire argument. They never travelled to the Uk on an immigrant visa or settled in the Uk. We know they were not immigrants because her parents were working in Nigeria at the time and after she was born her mother returned to Nigeria and spent at least the next 16 years in Nigeria becoming a professor at Unilag. Read the definition of an immigrant again. Emphasis on “permanently” I don’t mind reading epistles if you have something sensible to say….not to disturb me just to prove you are an eeediot!!! We really have an epidemic of Poor English comprehension in this country!! The problem with you and the likes of those arguing with me is you are products of a degraded education system. You cannot get your heads around the fact that someone of a different heritage is not an immigrant. The reason is like I have said many times, your English comprehension and your thought process is poor. You have spent your lives abusing the English language not truly understanding what some English words really mean.

Did you find comprehension difficult when you were in school ? Did you go to good schools ? Is it possible you ask for a refund of your schoos fees ? Olodo ni e padi mii !!!

malali:You are stooopid. First you say she is a 2nd generation immigrant, now you say she is an immigrant. Which is which. Since you have quietly dropped the 2nd generation thing I assume you have realized your folly. Now on to her as an immigrant: She is a she is a British citizen by birth. You cannot be an immigrant in your own country. She is not an immigrant full stop. Stop trying to use Nigerian mentality and reasoning to interprete a legal and English word or term. |
| Re: UK Can’t Handle The Influx: Kemi Badenoch Promises Tougher Immigration Crackdown by malali(op): 2:14pm On Nov 29, 2024 |
casualobserver:LOL....I see the problem. Dead brain cells BBC called her an immigrant on numerous occasions. She is an IMMIGRANT with a British passport. Her father was born in Nigeria. All her grandparents and ancestry were buried in Nigeria. You are deluded and disillusioned. |

malali:Every organisation has incompetent people just like you. Like I said the word immigrant is specific and technical. You cannot be an immigrant in your country of Birth. Stop trying to use Nigerian reasoning to interprete legal and technical terms. The word immigrant is precise and specific. I like Keri left the Uk when I was 2 years old, when I returned to the Uk as an adult, despite traveling with a Nigerian passport (with a right of abode). I was actually told I was on the wrong queue and I was to use the queue for citizens. You are not an immigrant in your own country. Heritage is a different matter, immigrant status has a specific and legal definition. They are 2 different things. That is what your thinking in Nigerian but talking in English brain cannot process and separate! Your heritage is determined by your ancestry. Your immigrant/citizenship status is determined by the laws of the country. I will not respond to you or any of your sort on this matter anymore. |
| Re: UK Can’t Handle The Influx: Kemi Badenoch Promises Tougher Immigration Crackdown by malali(op): 2:35pm On Nov 29, 2024 |
casualobserver:She is an immigrant, who was awarded a passport privilege at birth. This doesn't make her a citizen. No, not everyone born in the UK before 1980 was automatically granted citizenship. The rules regarding automatic citizenship were more restrictive, and the laws varied depending on the individual’s background and the circumstances of their birth. 1. British Nationality Act 1948 • Before 1980, the British Nationality Act 1948 determined who was considered a British citizen. • People born in the UK before this act were often considered British subjects, which was a broader category than full British citizenship. • The act introduced the concept of Commonwealth citizenship, meaning people from countries in the British Empire could be citizens of both their home country and the UK. 2. Automatic Citizenship Rules Before 1980 • Citizenship by Birth: Individuals born in the UK before 1983 were not necessarily British citizens by birth. Instead, they were British subjects unless: • One or both parents were British citizens or British subjects at the time of the child’s birth. • Commonwealth citizens born in the UK could be British subjects, but not automatically British citizens. • Statelessness: If a child was born in the UK to foreign parents and would be stateless (i.e., would not acquire any nationality at birth), they could be considered a British citizen. You dont have facts to support, your lies. Quote a verifiable British Law that states everybody born in UK is a British citizen. |

malali:I have told you I am not responding to you but I will this once. 1:we all make errors so for credibility, first admit you were wrong and her parents were not immigrants, therefore she cannot be a 2nd generation immigrant. To show the world you are actually a reasonable person you need to admit you were wrong and not just quietly drop the matter because you were aggressive in your attack on the matter. That was the basis on which you came attacking me like a rabid dog and you have since moved on to she is the immigrant, which again I shall show you are wrong. 2: I never told you that “everybody born in UK is a British citizen.“. So stop inventing things that were not said…or you can pour egg on my face by showing where I said so! 3: as at the time Kemii was born she qualified as British citizen. All Nigerians at the time were British subjects. (This is the second time you have shown you don’t properly read or understand the evidenceyou post). It clearly states in what you posted with your own hands “ One or both parents were British citizens or British subjects at the time of the child’s birth.”This means she came into the world as a British citizen, that was the point at which her status was determined. As such she is not an immigrant. Unless you have evidence to show she became a citizen by naturalization. Otherwise she was born a citizen and a citizen by birth cannot be an immigrant in his country of birth. 4: get it into your thick skull, immigrant status and heritage are 2 different things. If you are born a citizen of a country you are not an immigrant! Why are you so thick? Digest this for as many times as is required for it to sink in: “she came into the world a British citizen”. Stop using your Nigerian brain to interprete an English word into what you think it should mean. The word is an English word, the definition is there to see. End of discussion Have a good day. It has been laid out before you anything else is a waste of my time and You shall be ignored henceforth. |

casualobserver: Thats what she said with her own mouth. I don't understand why she will call her parents immigrants and you are hear barking that her parents are not immigrants. Are they your parents ? You are arguing without facts. I am providing you with evidence. She is a second generation immigrant with a British passport. She is culturally an immigrant, even though she has a British passport. And that privilege she enjoys has now been cancelled. You are no longer a citizen at birth. If it was really a solid citizenship, why did they cancel it ? You are shouting she was born there she can be an immigrant. If she was born there today, she is not an automatic citizen. You probably live somewhere in Ojuelegba typing this rubbish |

malali:After all your noise, after all your rabid dog foaming at the mouth attacks, see what you have reduced yourself to? “She said it with her mouth”….that’s now your defense? As if GEJ did not say he had no shoes or OBi he has only 1 watch? It never occurred to you she is playing to the gallery as a politician and the went on a psychological disarming of the British by calling herself an immigrant to soften their reception towards her? It never occurred to you? It never occurred to you the BBC reporter you quoted was misinformed just like you? You should have done what a properly educated person does……verify from the source. In this case the laws of the land and the dictionary. What you did was the equivalent of going to town on beer parkour talk. |

Now you are using anecdotes you got from scratching your bum. You are now accusing her of lying about herself. And you are the only person that knows the truth about her.Calling what she said beer parlor talk without proof. I would advice you never to discontinue your psych medications. Log off the internet , you dont have adequate mental health to be online. |

malali:You (foaming in the mouth): She is a second generation immigrant. Feeling smart, presents “evidence” that contradicts your argument. Me: presents superior argument with unimpeachable evidence as someone properly educated does you: quietly drops “2nd generation” doubles down on “immigrant”, presents “evidence” of immigrant status not realizing that again the very “evidence” you present contains a line which nullifies your position. Me: as someone whose education was not bought on the streets and is not only about regurgitating things in exams uses your own evidence to destroy your case You: resorts to name calling in typical brain dead half educated Nigerian lout fashion. Me: I told you not to take me on, Abinibi is different from ability, pedigree is different from certificate! Now I see that you are the thread starter and want to prolong your thread. Good bye. Go to a proper school, mingle with the right people, you will learn proper use of words and learn how to think properly and address other defects in your upbringing and thought process. |

casualobserver:cc: RodgersAkpafu We have got an interesting comment. I have always argued that while immigration can be good for any society, not all immigrants are good. Every functioning society has to select the immigrants it believes are good to fit in. That a country's leaders are advocating for stiffer immigration policies does not make them racist. That even immigrants who have settled in the new country advocating for restrictive immigration controls do not make them "coons".They know why they left their home countries. The last thing they want is a replica. Recently, we had an MP called for blasphemy laws to be instituted in the UK. Before the turn of this century, that would have been unthinkable. The question is: why would an immigrant seek to impose his/her cultural beliefs in the new country? In my opinion, this can only be acceptable if the immigrant's home country is as good as the new one. A German seeking to impose German cultural practices in Japan is okay by me. But not a Somalian. Let the Somalian use that cultural practice to make Somalia be like Germany before I believe such practice is good for Germany. All cultures are not equal. Some cultures are more equal than others. To be fair though, it is Karma if you ask me. Maybe in their next life, young Brits would warn their great-grandparents from invading other people's lands. The West has to engineer a new economic system that does not involve the pension system and involves less consumerism. Also, they need to increase their birth rates. Anything outside these would see the native population gradually reduce setting off tensions in the future. Most importantly, for their sake, they should ensure Africa becomes wealthy. A wealthy Africa would reduce illegal and even legal migration. No Thai or South Korean would emigrate illegally to Japan. cc: IbeOkehie |

Gerrard59:On this subject matter, it is more complex than it appears. When they were telling young kids to immigrant parents in the 80s and 90s that no matter what they do, THEY CAN NEVER BE BRITISH, what did they expect will happen? A lot of British people just have a false sense of superiority complex. Nothing you do will please them. Even a bus driver who is a Reform UK supporter will be feeling superiority over a professor of cell biology from Kenya, just by being white When Saka missed the penalty against Italy, they went all in on the guy to the point where he broke down and cried. After everything saka has given to this country. So before the British open their smelly mouth with rotten teeth inside because they cannot afford a dentist, they should first ask what role they plated in the social dislocation we see today. I'm in the education/research field, living in an area that is pretty diverse, and I can see the younger ones getting along well with each other as fellow brits. regardless of their ethnic origins. If that continues, then there will be proper integration. But you can't ask for integration on one hand, and vilify and say these ppl can never be brits in the other Choose a struggle. These guys are professional complainants Okay when the commonwealth was locked out and the EU citizens were coming in, na so so complain everyday Polish are this Hungarians are that these are Christian and white people and law abiding So if these fvckers can lampoon on even the Europeans That goes to show that their complaint is not logical Rada rada |

Though @casualobserver raised salient points as well Gerrard59 Bur that's a small angle to the picture To add to what he said the one that worries me very much is the number of immigrants driving on the road without passing their license tests here I have almost been hit twice because a pakistani bastard cab driver ran a red light and almost hit me The two cases were pakistani Nigerians are doing same I know two doing it. and I wished I could cast them... That anyhow culture is a big issue I won't deny it's a legitimate worry Thank God for strong institutional framework in this country that keeps handing punishments It needs to be toughened for sure |

RodgersAkpafu:When this happens and immigrants or non-whites are the biggest culprits, Ndi lovey-dovey will scream that those laws are racist. Just as they scream that math is racist in California simply because the biggest scorers are Asians. So-called liberals have an issue with laws governing a society. I dread to live in a society that has them as the majority. |

RodgersAkpafu:I know that and saw it too but overlooked it. I have come to realise that every human is tribalist/racist. But I prefer the racism of the white, Chinese and Japanese men. They developed their homelands with that racism. Also, they are wealthy on a global level. The worst form of discrimination is when it is done by poor people. Nah! One cannot be poor on a global scale and be a crude tribalist/racist at the same time. That is witchcraft. |

| Re: UK Can’t Handle The Influx: Kemi Badenoch Promises Tougher Immigration Crackdown by Gerrard59(m): 6:07pm On Nov 29, 2024 |
RodgersAkpafu:Yes, the rules are stringent. However, if the biggest group of rule breakers are Pakistanis and Nigerians, how is the rule racist? Why should it be looked at in such a way? Following rules is not a fun exercise, but for the sake of a functioning society, everyone needs to follow them. If the biggest breakers are Pakistanis and Nigerians, you punish them appropriately, not bending it because of their skin colour. |

Gerrard59:We are saying the same thing But maybe u r not getting my point Lemme give you an example Do you know how many judges in America (especially female ones, white) that was caught on "hot mic" saying racist shyte about black people ? What do you think the fate of a black man will be in that court ? What about police setting people up? It's documented White supremacists use these institutions to show the "others" who is boss. How many times have white people falsely xalled the police to accuse black men of stuff they never did, My Man, look at these things from a multidimensional lens o Not just one corner I understand the need for rules but man when white supremacy is in the mix, hmmmm That said I'll add a final piece The UK punishes afghan and Paki drivers with higher insurance premiums which THEY MUST PAY unless they will be bleeped. This is on account of their reputation for rough driving and sharp practice on the road So this one is understandable it js clear and backed with data But what happens in say America for example is something else |

RodgersAkpafu:It is always the hosts that feel the damage of uncontrolled immigration. We who know how Lagos was knows it is now a sheet hole, it is tooo crowded. People with different values are taking over our institutions and influencing our people especially our young ones in ways that are alien to our culture. PTA, housing associations market associations etc. I make no apologies for my comment. It is even worse when the immigrants have no regard for your way of life and customs. I make no apologies for my comments, particularly because it is those with no regard for their hosts that are most offended. Those offended by it would not tolerate it where they come from. Unfettered immigration is destroying our societies especially when you have insensitive migrants with no respect for hosts. Anyone who is sincere with himself knows in his heart that for Yorubas in large numbers to start to get annoyed, you know the visitors have overstepped, no different from the sentiment in the Uk. |

How can you be hosted in ur own country ?
