The northerners did not demonize Jonathan. The real people who demonized Jonathan were the yorubas and they used all avenues of the media and Tinubu who dolled out cash for the purpose. Fast forward to few years down the line, the same Yorubas are singing southern solidarity and unity to retain Tinubu after a disastrous first term no matter his performance. How come you asked. Well, because Atiku insisted PDP zoned the presidency to the south east. Wike insisted it is zoned to the south so that both south south and south West can contest for the position. Atiku insisted that if it cannot be zoned to the south east, let it be open to all regions. The election was finally made open to all regions which Atiku won and Peter Obi migrated to another party because he knew it was going to be a money affair.

Action point is that Atiku supported Obi. Other Southern regions in PDP (Wike) was the problem.

The ONLY way forward is for Atiku to step aside and allow Obi to proceed. They should find him a northern vice candidate. Give him a PDP ticket. Then they should chase Wike out of the party. This is the only way for the PDP to fight effectively in 2027. If Atiku tries to make Obi vice president and Obi accepts, Obi will be a clown. And they will both regret it. Period.

It is easy to say "Yorubas" because it will appeal to whoever you are representing but the whole world knows that Atiku Abubakar and his fellow nPDP members were the ones who sabotaged GEJ from the inside just because he is from the south. You remembered to mention tinubu but forgot to mention saraki, baraje, tambuwal, kwankwaso and the rest of them who are all northerners.
