My Bitter Experience As A Security Guard After My OND Program by Ayomide11111(op): 7:01pm On Nov 30, 2024
And adage says we are the writer of our lives but I don't want to say I miswrote mine in 2018.

I have always been on frying pan with my family and all my efforts to create love between my mom and dad were in vain.

I have always been craving for an happy and joyful family in my life. Seeing my mom and dad laughing and kidding with us and maybe my wish is in my dream.

When I finished my OND program in Nov 2016 I decided to stayed in school with my few course mates because I knew if I come home I will never found joy. cry

These few of my course mates are indigenes of Ijebu Igbo. And they love roaming about pointlessly and I dislike this useless doings.

We will move from football field to gambling shop to Atéénu party and to where they never invited us. I dislike all these things but since I have no one to cling to or place to stay I have no choice to play along with them. They were even surprised founding me in their midst because I have my midst during program but my midst have gone to meet their own families.

In Jan 2017, I stopped roaming about with them and I applied for casual job in a local bakery in the same Ijebu Igbo. I will resume bakery before 6am and closed at 8pm and I will be paid 300 Naira everyday like that.

I could not able to use the money to do more tangible things but I succeeded using it to finance my project and the printing.

Till 2018 when I joined one private security company. During this time my colleagues at school are already planning for their HNDs while I'm thriving to survive on the street.

I have already been warned at home not to bring anything schoolsl stuff's to their ears. So I carried my cross.

I joined this private security company in Benin City. I traveled down from Ijebu Igbo to Benin City. And since then it was from one abuse to the other; from one insults to another to the extent that one day I looked at myself and I cried. I even doubted my sanity.

There was a time I was attending to a customer and I was speaking in English fluently, the customer looked at me from my toe to my head and hissed before getting away. cry

Security guards are seeing as unfortunate beings, human dogs, packaged slaves, poverty carrier and so on. I hate this experience cry

I never planned my life like this. Why? Why? I don't want to commit before making it God. God help me cry

Some customers will make your day but 85 percent of the customers you are to attend to in a day are coming to molest and embarrassed you whether you render the service to them politely or not.

I could not be able to save up the money to pay for my school results levies due to accomodations and feeding problems over 20,000 Naira they were paying me per month till 2022

In March 2021, I enrolled for a professional photography class at 100, 000 Naira for 1year training. And I catched up quickly in learning. Photography is very expensive but I believe God that I will move mountains through it. I needed another Master class to enroll for but money no dey now.

In June 2022 when I saved up to 120, 000 I traveled to school in Ijebu Igbo and when I got to school I was told by the school admin that levies has been multiplied by 3 for late payment. I almost wept out my blood that day.

I paid the affordable levies I could pay and I have their receipt and I traveled back to Benin City.

Last year was tough that I could not even walk with the kind of illness I went through. Thank God for the savings I have that I was saving up for my school levies it was what I used to give myself a good treatment.

And this 2024 again, '24 is going and I have not make it to bring my family back to the way I want it. Even at my age now I have not make up to get a family. I want to be a responsible man to my wife and children.

I don't want my children to smell POV not to talk of VERTY. Working as security guard since 27yrs old to 33yrs old cry and still receiving insults and embarrassment from mere customers. Just because of a penny, another person's girlfriend pedicure and manicure...

God when. Pls help me from above. I want a standard Life for my families God help cry

Why were you trying to shove your idea of happiness down the throats of your dad and your mom who from your narrative don't care for any of that, to begin with? undecided

2. You want a standard life for a family you admit you are unable to afford at this point in time? Which God do you expect to help you and when do you expect him to do this for you? undecided

At least if I can be able to bring love and happiness to that family.

You see yourself as a savior to members of your family? Who gave you such a mission? Where you born into that role or something? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You're making jest of what is making me cry, it's unfair
I'm not seeing myself as a saviour sir, but one of my dreams I have been craving for is seeing my family in a happy mode. My family is my foundation. Have you thought of the joy someone can have traveling down home to meet his families with joy and happiness.

Not in the other way round whereby everyone is on Helter skelter.

1. I am not the one making jest of your background... you are. You pretend it is your place to change the reality for two grown individuals who with their own hands set up a family of their own and decided to have it the way it is today. undecided

2. What if the way to meet that joy and happiness will only come when your father and mother go their separate ways? Will you accept it then? undecided

3. Are they not helter-skelter as a result of their individual and personal choices? undecided

Why can't you focus on your photography stuff? Your field of study blends so well with photography.

Photography is a very expensive skill. The gadgets are very costly especially now that naira is doing badly plus High tech phones has made it quit hard for people to appreciate amateur photographers, if your skill is not high valued forget it, you'll struggle to get a client. Some client will even tell you to your face that their phone can take a better picture. I'm also a photographer and it's not easy at all.
