MENTAL HEALTH

Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today paid an on the spot assessment to the ongoing construction of the Lagos State Mental Health Institute, Psychiatric and Rehabilitation Center, Ketu Ejirin, Epe Local Government Area.

This 1,000-bed facility sitting on about 25-hectare land, will serve as a rehabilitation center where people with mental health illness will be taken care of. It would also be a total rehabilitation home with recreational and vocational centres for total rehabilitation of people with psychiatric illness.

Mr Governor says the first phase of this project (first 500-bed) should be completed by End of Next year. The Project stands at 50% completion at the moment.
