aswani:It's only SE legislators and their governors that are joining the north to kill this bill because just like the north, the SE is a basket case that depends on resources from other Southern states. |

cr7lomo:Why the heck should I care if President Tinubu kisses 2027 goodbye when I have never voted for him? Why also would I care if a Yoruba person ruled Nigeria again? He won't win APC nomination, he did. He won't win the elections, he did. He won't win in court, he did. He won't be inaugurated, he was. Now he won't win again. When are you going to stop with the failed predictions? Finally, why are you aligning Ndigbo with Nd'ijaw? Where is the alliance coming from? In fact, as President Tinubu and Bubu proved (twice), you can be President of Nigeria without Ndigbo votes, never mind Ndijaw votes. |
| Re: Ọbabìnrin Adérónkẹ́ Threatens To Break Nigeria If North Kills Tax Reform Bills by aswani(m): 9:24am On Dec 01, 2024 |
DomPerignon:That will be dissapointing if the SE legislators don't see the sense in this. Maybe they are looking for something in return like Biafra which is fair enough. I don't agree they are any more a basket case that depends on resources than other Southern states sha. Takimg a closer look at this bill, you will see it a win win for all apart from lazy politicians who now have to work harder. |

aswani:Got in thru bribery and rigging...that's not a win for any sane person... SW is very irrelevant when the North decides not to vote for their candidate... it happened in 99 ... Obasanjo won due to votes from SE and SS ...coupled with the North... the whole of SW voted for olu false ...but he lost tremendously.... this still shows how irrelevant SW is without the North, reason u guys asslick them .... as SW have lost support from the North, that druggie can now kiss 2027 goodbye.... |

cr7lomo:You that you are sane, can you bring proof of the bribery or rigging? By the way, if Peter Obi had lost Lagos state, you wouldn't have batted an eyelid. Shows how badly the rigging was. Of course SW standing on its own is irrelevant too, that is why President Tinubu formed his alliance. You said he has lost support of the North, let's see how badly APC do in oncoming elections before 2027. Ndi Yoruba are licking Ndi North butt yet they are President with a lot of ministerial and other important federal roles under their belt. Ndigbo that voted PDP day and night, what did they get in PDP governments? |

cr7lomo:You lot love empty noise. Yorubas are not the mates of any other in Nigeria today.. Especially not Igbos and Ijaws with all due respect to all good Igbo and Ijaw folks. Home and abroad, we are the A to Z of all that is good and positive about Nigeria. You cannot threaten the Goose that lays the golden eggs. Without the Goose, Nigeria will be nothing. If Yoruba Governors (see my second attached image) moved unitedly and bravely, without any fear at all, to demand regional autonomy from President Buhari, their own Party leader in 2021, at a time Fulanis were firmly in charge of Nigeria and doing as they pleased unchallenged, what will same Yorubas now do when they see foul play against President Tinubu and, by extension, all Yorubas? Fulanis want to lead independently and unchallenged as they wish when in charge of the Presidency, bullying all other Nigerians into silence, yet they wish to give conditions to a Southern President, telling him/her what to do and what not to do, as if Yorubas and other Southerners exist at the pleasure of Northerners who are the weakest link, by far, in the Nigerian socio-economic chain. Buhari did a lot of contentious and controversial things that only Yorubas stood up to challenge while the biggest noise-makers, I.e Igbos, hid under their beds. If the Yorubas can do that when they did not control the centre (see second image below) the same people will now allow anyone, especially the North that largely had it's way unchallenged under Buhari, to rubiish Tinubu? Let's be watching na. Yorubas are triggered and ready. We all know where this is heading. The North, that is a dead zone full of terrorism, illiteracy, fundamentalist violence and unproductive elements thatcontributes 87% of human beings to the most poverty stricken Nigerians, can try to take on the goose that lays the golden egg. It then becomes an existentialist fight for the control of Nigeria. Let us see who wins. Yorubas are not irredeemable materialistic, covetous and money-obsessed like Igbo who cannot stand up for what is right because their kobo is threatened. History bears this out about us. There is silent anger in the soul of most Yorubas over the sad reality of how long regressive and backwards forces have won, to keep us uncivilised and 'third world', in the midst of so much blessing from God that means we should be doing much better. Yorubas won't compromise anymore because we now realise we have to take a stand to fight and defeat the forces of regression or run the risk of many generations of our children being born into 'One Nigeria' slavery. We have the Presidency now. If the North won't allow us to use it progressively, and they wish to fight every benevolent policy of Tinubu, while Buhari did as he pleased for 8 years, then Yorubas will become the successful advocates of the split of Nigeria where the insincere Igbos have failed for decades with their Biafra empty noise. If Yorubas down tools, what hope for Nigeria? North has to compromise, become progressive, less parasitic and shape up. As simple as that. No be fight unless they want to make it one and Yorubas will show the world we are ready.

Mrexcell:What valuable things does the SE have to blackmail Nigeria with? You have to be someone crucially important to get people's attention and subservience in life. Igbos and their five plots of land have no value. Therefore the entire Nigeria has always been happy for them to rant impotently, day in and day out, for decade now. When Buhari called them "Dot in a circle" people is that not direct proof that those who lead Nigeria view Igbos as socio-economically worthless? |
| Re: Ọbabìnrin Adérónkẹ́ Threatens To Break Nigeria If North Kills Tax Reform Bills by Mrexcell(m): 4:30pm On Dec 01, 2024 |
UltraSolid:So why are they not allowing the dot nation to go their way if truly they are that worthless? Look at the extremes the nigerian state goes to to keep the igbos in nigeria. |
| Re: Ọbabìnrin Adérónkẹ́ Threatens To Break Nigeria If North Kills Tax Reform Bills by UltraSolid: 4:39pm On Dec 01, 2024 |
Mrexcell:You people keep saying this "they won't let us go" garbage for the past 60 years that constitute the main reason why no one takes you seriously. You claim they don't allow you to go your way when you are over 10 million permanently domiciled in the SW and Lord knows how many in the North? When you make it clear, with your migratory preferences that you prefer to relocate permanently to the land of other, then that reality only shows sensible adults you are liars when you insist you want your own independent nation of Biafra. Buhari deliberately called you lot "dot in a circle" to highlight how an irrelevant and socio-economically worthless people make noise despite being a dot in a circle total reliant on others and drawing their existentence on the money they make from their presence outside the SE. Don't change that sad reality then people will only see you lot as noise-makers and gaslighters who ignore reality to talk senselessly. If you are mostly domicledd in the SE, with your sustenance not reliant on others as is the case with Yorubas, then others may bee afraid when you threaten to leave the unholy Union. As things stand, and with the way Igbos themselves live, boarding buses in their thousands daily to relocate away from the SE, you lot only look like impotent and decietful noismakers not to be taken seriously. |
| Re: Ọbabìnrin Adérónkẹ́ Threatens To Break Nigeria If North Kills Tax Reform Bills by Mrexcell(m): 4:54pm On Dec 01, 2024 |
UltraSolid:It still doesn't change the fact that the nigerian state is somehow scared of letting the igbos go for reasons best known to them. If the igbos are actually parasites or irritants why is nigeria still deciding to keep them at all costs when they have all the means in their disposal to kick them all out of nigeria like the way Malaysia did to Singaporeans years ago? Saying that all the igbos should first relocate to their region before nigeria will decide to allow them to go doesn't make any sense to me. |

verdad00:Who supported who to wicked anybody. From Zik through to Ekwueme down to Peter Obi in PDP, Nigerian politics has been littered with Ndigbo politicians enjoying their house negro status to the North. When Awo was alive, he wouldn't let Ndi Yoruba align with North on that basis under any condition. The ones that came after him like MKO, OBJ and President Tinubu broke that mould of under any condition but still insisted on being at the head of the top table at some point. Which is where we are presently, Ndi Yoruba president with strong Ndi Yoruba representation in important places in government. Fair play to Peter Obi, he too is breaking that subservient mode, but as President Tinubu showed him, shoe get size. You are welcome to the free history lesson. |

DomPerignon:This headless goat still don't understand anything. You were talking about reducing corporate and income taxes to zero so that othet states won't share in it. And I'm telling you that VAT is what is being shared amongst the states, not the corporate and income taxes. Those taxes are not VAT and are not being shared or redistributed. Who give una these ýeye brains una carry? I pity Nigerian teachers and lecturers, i swear! |
