President Tinubu's admin has been a pleasant surprise in some aspects. Looking beyond the fake "south" rhetoric and tribalism etc, he is institutionally redefining Nigeria in a way that he shouldn't. As a member of the ruling class, he has almost no reason to do overturn the subsidy programs or to push for this tax reform (being the federal govt).

If you're a Biafran partisan, Niger Delta resource control advocate and the like, the best bet to structurally achieve your fantasies or dreams is through the passing of these federation-minded policies that decouple center and state, artificial markets and propped-up merchants.

All land chargers are paid to state and local goverment as the case maybe. Remember the land use act, all lands are vested on the governor's of the states. That's the use of C of O. The president rules the FCT administration only through the minister. The federal government controls mining on land and sea (continental shelf). Remember present Atlantic coastal highway (demolition carried out: there's certain distance from the coast to inland that belongs to the federal government).

All federal institution lands (barracks,offices, hospitals, schools, name them) are all given by the state government. The federal government pays respective states their land chargers . Ports and jetties by the sea side are exclusively for federal government. Ask me detailed specific questions 🙏

If you're not from there, you may be fighting the wrong battle
That VAT bill will favour only Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, +/_ Delta, Oyo, which have high concentration of companies and business activities and thus generate large amounts of VATs, while the generality of states will suffer.
It's not by mistake that every yoruba man breathing is pushing for the passage.

Tinubu and his lagos boys are only focusing on VATs and taxes which will favour lagos and ogun states while they keep partaking in the other revenues generated from crude oil and others

If he's serious, he should go for full resource control so that all the oil producing states will keep their revenues, while lagos and ogun states keep their VATS and taxes

The north and southeast shouldn't accept this trick because they'll lose massively
