This same Tinubu in opposition that criticised and we are now expecting opposition to praise him? Cry me a river

Look at that picture carefully,Tinubu himself said subsidy must not be removed in one fell swoop but what was the first thing he did on May 29huh

nobody cares about d north

Tinubu will cut them some slacks, na u igbos dey fear them n see them as big deal

U can see Tinubu no even send them, if they do anyhow maximum we scatter which they will not want

Yorubas get bargaining chip unlike u guys, u can see that what u have been doing for more than 4 years of Yorubas try in within 6 months Nigeria will break

North have no option than to obey, I will quote u again when the bill becomes a reality
Igbos fear no one. It's you and your ilk who fear the North, which is why you left the north who is at the forefront of rejecting the new tax bill to drag the Igbos into it.

If it's about fear, the Igbos wouldn’t be found in every nook and cranny of this nation.

The Igbos went to war and survived, so they fear no one

Taiwo Oyedele was partner at PWC and Africa Tax Leader before he was made Chairman of Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms. Zach Adedeji graduated first class from OAU and rose to corporate finance manager in a multinational.

I have only one request: those opposing the tax bill need to come out and debate them.

If they have the balls.
You don’t need to debate them. They need to clarify what they’re proposing. That’s all. The onus is on them who are proposing the bill and have fully researched the benefits to address the concerns raised.

Now tell me, and this is very simple if you fully understand this tax reform. In August 2024, Lagos generated N249 billion VAT while Abia state generated only N663 million VAT. You said that VAT reform will favor Abia. How much estimated VAT would Abia have generated if companies in Abia paid their VAT to Abia state instead of their headquarters in Lagos? And how much did Abia collect as revenue for August compared to how much they would’ve collected based on VAT reform?

I’m sure the numbers are available, share them publicly so we stop these “it will favor A and B” and use numbers to judge.

Why is this important? Well one reason is because Abia is an oil producing state. Most of Abia oil revenue is distributed to FG and other states like Lagos and Kano based on population and other factors, but suddenly high IGR states like Lagos should keep most of its VAT revenue

Lol. Obi saying a lot without actually saying nothing. The sign of 'airhesd' politicians who think they are deceiving the gullible and "ignorant". Public.

Real leaders stand, without equivocation, for or against important public reform initiative. As simple as that. These are the development smart Nigerians use to discern that Obi and Atiku are neither here nor there. Just power-hungry and unprincipled desperados.

What Atiku said:

Let's now compare what each said. Atiku is in red, Obi in black:

Notice that Peter Obi had no originality in his submissions and only mouthed what Atiku said.

The question to both of them: have they read the bills?
Laziness will not allow that.

President Tinubu always work with consultants, take note of the word always. This bill must have been well thought even before the passing to the house for debate.

Let those who have issue with the bill to point out to what precisely are the issues with and and the possible solution for rectification.
So why did he keep withdrawing and reintroducing the student loan bill then

Normal na. Can a people whose every action is driven by hatred for others ever praise or support anything Tinubu does?

Who should be supporting this bill if not the IPOB hypocrites who have always lied they are about resource control and restructuring yet they are today fervently behind the 'begging bowl' parasitism of the North at a time Nigeria needs to be reformed to be about meritocratic responsibility, hardwork and innovation that will see every State and region use her endowment to secure the progress they claim they want.

We are flat broke, meaning every state and region must pull her weight, yet some still insist others continue breastfeeding them while shameless Igbos, out of hate for Yorubas and Tinubu, are today the only Southerners supporting the retrogressive parasitism of the North.
