You call Me master and lord, and you say well, because that is what I am.

John 13:13 (New King James Version) says, "You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am."

Jesus told you he is both here read it
So if Jesus is both teacher and Lord, does that make him equal with the Father according to his statement in John 14:28?

Truvelisback:
Jesus said that because of the Spiritual hierachy or hierachy in the Godhead. It's difficult to explain but i will try. Jesus is God and He co-existed with God The Father and The HolySpirit and He is equal with them. The Book of Genesis will explain better. However, Jesus made that statement because of His mission on earth i.e to redeem man. He had to show humility and obedience and become a man to fulfil that.
If Jesus is the name of the son of God, what is the name of the Father and the Holy Spirit?

It is clearly written by The LORD is "our God.".

And He told us that heaven and earth has been given to Him which you can see in Genesis..

So as i said, you are just here to continue thst stupid trinity anti trinity madness.
Does the father have a name since the son Jesus has a name?

Kingsnairaland:
Well said but don't see it as three god because you are a trinity your a body a soul a spirit

You are one being in three dimension

That the same way God is

One being in three dimension
According to Genesis 2:4 in the screenshot below, was Adam given a soul that was seperate from his body?

So are you saying that only the son has a name? Is father a name, if my child calls me father, is he calling me the name of the Almighty God?

The name"Jesus" was given to Him because of His mission on earth.

If the God in Hebrews 1:8 refers to Jesus the son of God,
I am more than ready and wiling to immediately give reply and with examples, to your 'who is the God that is anointing in Hebrews 1:9, and who is this person that is being anointed?' question(s), after you to the best of your understanding and considerable knowledge, dignify me please with the sum of what God and/or god means, in the context of Hebrews 1:8-9? (i.e. leave no stone unturned)

Thank you in advance for your humble, honest, mature and sincere answer

Why is your earthly dad, called, daddy/father, also your same earthly daddy/father is called son and even equally still, your same earthly daddy/father has a spirit that often is made mention of. Hmm?

My daddy is called son because someone gave birth to him. Did someone give birth to Jesus? Is the person that gave birth to Jesus also called a son?

You arent asked to know, you simply are asked about what you understand the word(s), God and/or god means

Example
Philippians 3:19
Their end is destruction, their god is their belly,
and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things

Michael547 beloved, I careless of screenshot, sign posts and whatnot, all I expect from you simply is state in your own words, all you understand what the word(s), God and/or god means.

In the absence of you being original (i.e. I am not after other people's idea, thought or mind but yours), then this will be my last interacting post with you

Are you ignorant of Strong's concordance, And you claim to be a student of the bible?
Don't you know that the bible was Originally written in Hebrew Aramaic and Greek?
Or do you have your own definition of what the Greek word 'theos' mean?

I have answered your question. Now answer mine. Who is the God in Hebrews 1:9, and who is the God anointing?

Oga, your reference to John 13:13 is correct.
But your quote from John 14:28 throws up a poser you have not fully resolved.

According to Jesus Christ @ John 14:28, is there another Being greater than Lord Jesus?
OR:
Did Lord Jesus teaching that another Being greater than. Jesus?
Yes.
Jesus Christ is correct.
"Lord Master Jesus is NOT greater than another Being, his Father (the Senior) who sent him (Jesus).
Jesus acknowledge he is both teacher, servant and the lord

And Bible proved it

Janosky:

Oga, your claim Very Weird & NOT in the scriptures.
Oga, why are you now contradicting your own view:
"The servant (Lord Master Jesus) is NOT greater than the God his Father who sent him (Lord Jesus)."
Why is your claim conflicting with the teaching of Jesus Christ @ John 3:16 & John 14:28?
Isaiah 6:6-8 & Psalm 103:20, John 3:16,God (the Father of Jesus) can NEVER send Himself.

No Sir.
Jesus Christ (@Luke 11:20 & Matthew 12:28) as well as the Egyptian magician priests @Exodus 8:16-19 knew what you don't know.-
Holy spirit is God's finger not a Being.
In numerous Bible passages, holy spirit is hand of God.

grin

Psalm 102:20 = Isaiah 55:10-11. Yahweh's word is His utterances (decree) which Must fulfill..

John 1:1 = John 14:24. Psalm 103:20.
The Word (Jesus ) is a creature ,an angelic messenger sent to speak & DOING the Father's utterances and command (John 5:19)
If you don't get it you don't get it.

John 3:16 is in your Bible.
John 5:37,43 is in your Bible.
John 7:16, John 14:24, 28 is in your Bible.
1 Corinthians 11:3. 1 Corinthians 3:23 are in your Bible.
"was theos" is the last expression of John 1:1 & Acts 28:6.

Please Run away from the man made invention of Nicene in the year 381 AD & 326 AD

Shalom.
I believe you have seen the holy spirit speaking in the bible

In Psalms 110:1, which one of the Lord is Jesus?
Psalm 110:1, David says, “The LORD says to my Lord: ‘Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool’” (ESV).

In Matthew 22:44, Jesus quotes this verse in a discussion with the Pharisees in order to prove that the Messiah is more than David’s son; He is David’s Lord.

The clause the LORD says to my Lord contains two different Hebrew words for “lord” in the original.

The first word is Yahweh, the Hebrew covenant name for God. The second is adoni, meaning “lord” or “master.” So, in Psalm 110:1, David writes this: “Yahweh says to my Adoni. . . .” To better understand Jesus’ use of Psalm 110:1, we’ll look at the identity of each “Lord” separately.

The first “Lord” in “the LORD says to my Lord” is the eternal God of the universe, the Great I AM who revealed Himself to Moses in Exodus 3. This self-existent, omnipotent God speaks in Psalm 110 to someone else who is also David’s “Lord.”

The second “Lord” in “the LORD says to my Lord” is the Messiah, or the Christ. Psalm 110 describes this second “Lord”

The greatest is one who humbles himself

So Jesus is the greatest he is God almighty

You can't see all God secret in one place

Look below it shows the soul can be returned
It can be restored it has it own personality it what makes the man complete

The soul it like a software to the body it can be restored and reprogrammed it location is in your head

While the spirit location is in your heart in the blood

Matthew 16-26?
ESV
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?
Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?

Psalm 23:3-4 KJV
He restoreth my soul

Another word for the soul is mind or thought process
The soul is also the mind

God shows here how the soul has it own personality by showing it can depart from your body

Genesis 35:18

English Standard Version
And as her soul was departing (for she was dying), she called his name Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin.

King James Bible
And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.

So time will come when God will give everyone a new body called spiritual body then your soul and spirit will return to that new body

And your destination to eternity will be made by if you accepted or believed in Jesus while you were alive in your physical first body

Glory

Alright Oga...... below is Genesis 35:18 in another translation.
Below is Ezekiel 18:4, 20 in king James translation. Do you believe that the soul dies according to those verses?

According to Genesis 2:7 that I quoted earlier, does that verse not tell you that man with his flesh is the one that is referred to as a living soul?

Ok good explanation.....If you agree that the first Lord is Yahweh and the second lord is Christ, below is Psalms 83:18, is there any other lord that is equal to Yahweh according to that verse?

Yes He does.

And remember "Jesus Christ" is The Name His Son bore when He came visiting the earth as a man which as you see was given prior to His Visitation.

And Genesis and Revelations show His Name is The LORD!

But the nearest Names to His Father's Name is God as seen in Genesis, The Father, The Highest, The Most High andI The King Who Sitteth on the Throne.

These are the several Names identifying His Father!

If you cannot understand that as Tinubu is a man and his son is a man like him, and they work very very closely and hand in hand then therefore, they are the the same and equal, for if Seyi tells you a thing, his father, will back him up, then be free to think whatever you want.
