I understand your point perfectly. I also had a classmate back in university who is now a pastor, which also surprises me because this guy I know is not a good person; he loves to cheat others. He even scammed one of my friends, which led to a police case back then in school. The thing is, the majority of them see being a pastor as a quick way to make money, especially when they see other popular pastors flying private jets and living lavish lives. However, not all pastors are scammers; there are still a few genuine ones who are not after money but are focused on winning souls. You don't see them preaching about material possessions like the popular ones do.

You just gave one valid point unknowingly. While running him down you unintentionally revealed that he has been a Born Again Christian and a member of Campus Christian Fellowship. He also preached in the Campus. That is a very good revelation. That revelation is more important to the Body of Christ. Membership of Campus Christian Fellowship and preaching in the Campus shows he did not become a pastor because of lavish lifestyle o rich pastors.

I don't know him personally, but I agree with you. I began to question his uprightness the day I watched him introduce a female member who was about to wed. The way he was flirting and holding her in a compromising manner on the altar gave him away as an unprincipled person.

Truth is that his likes build connections with top preachers to give them cover and credibility.
