![]() Not far from the truth tho.....But the sweetest truth behind this current tragedy that has befallen our young girls is the fact that our society and our leaders have both failed us.......A society that's working won't have a high level of girls going into hook up just like we are experiencing at this moment..... Anyways, may our sisters and female friends who are sensible and responsible not fall victims into the hands of evil men and women 🙏 |

The hookup culture has become a pervasive aspect of modern dating, particularly among young people. This culture emphasizes casual, non-committal relationships and prioritizes physical intimacy over emotional connection. While the hookup culture may seem liberating and exciting, it can have significant impacts on youth values and relationships. Positive Impacts 1. Increased autonomy: The hookup culture allows young people to explore their desires and make choices about their relationships without the pressure of long-term commitment. 2. Reduced stigma around sex: The hookup culture has helped to normalize conversations around sex and reduce the stigma associated with casual sex. 3. More opportunities for socialization: The hookup culture can provide opportunities for young people to meet new people and form connections. Negative Impacts 1. Objectification and commodification of sex: The hookup culture can lead to the objectification and commodification of sex, where individuals are seen as mere objects for physical gratification. 2. Emotional detachment and lack of intimacy: The hookup culture can foster emotional detachment and a lack of intimacy, as individuals prioritize physical pleasure over emotional connection. 3. Increased risk of STIs and unintended pregnancy: The hookup culture can increase the risk of STIs and unintended pregnancy, as individuals may be more likely to engage in unprotected sex. 4. Negative impact on mental health: The hookup culture can have a negative impact on mental health, particularly for women, who may experience feelings of shame, guilt, and low self-esteem. 5. Erosion of traditional values and relationships: The hookup culture can contribute to the erosion of traditional values and relationships, such as monogamy, commitment, and emotional intimacy. Impact on Youth Values 1. Changing attitudes towards sex and relationships: The hookup culture has led to a shift in attitudes towards sex and relationships, with many young people viewing sex as a casual, recreational activity. 2. Decreased emphasis on emotional intimacy: The hookup culture has contributed to a decreased emphasis on emotional intimacy and a greater focus on physical pleasure. 3. Increased focus on individualism and self-gratification: The hookup culture has led to an increased focus on individualism and self-gratification, with many young people prioritizing their own desires and needs over those of others. Impact on Youth Relationships 1. Increased prevalence of casual relationships: The hookup culture has led to an increase in casual relationships, with many young people engaging in non-committal relationships. 2. Decreased commitment and loyalty: The hookup culture has contributed to a decrease in commitment and loyalty, with many young people viewing relationships as temporary and disposable. 3. Increased conflict and drama: The hookup culture can lead to increased conflict and drama, as individuals navigate complex webs of relationships and emotions. Conclusion The hookup culture has had a profound impact on youth values and relationships, contributing to a shift in attitudes towards sex and relationships, a decreased emphasis on emotional intimacy, and an increased focus on individualism and self-gratification. While the hookup culture may offer some benefits, such as increased autonomy and reduced stigma around sex, it also poses significant risks, including objectification, emotional detachment, and negative impacts on mental health. ![]() When the foundation of a country is laid on tribalism, religious sentiments, inequality and unfairness based on ethnicity etc, then you get the current state of Nigeria. As far as they continue to operate Nigeria this way, peace, progress and prosperity will continue to elude Nigeria. |

This is probably very true. Before leaving Nigeria in 2022, it was extremely easy getting girls (mostly from higher institutions) to grace my bed daily with just little cash. Most of these girls use selling of wrist watches, bedsheets etc as smokescreen and looked decent... I can imagine how worse it would be with the current economic condition. |

What has the police done to curb the rise in hookup related deaths? Nothing. The fact that the death toll is rising and these people are proud to promote the rising figures tells you that they re benefiting from it. |

A guy i know met a girl for hookup on badoo. Before anything happened, the girl told the guy that she sent her sister the address, his number, his name and even his picture. The guy was angry that she breached his privacy but she pleaded it was for her safety. |

Lazy and easy road investigation. Police should do their jobs thoroughly, instead of giving lazy excuse. So, young boys and girls used for rituals, were pimps too, I mean boys and girls below 10 years old? |

Rising hookup culture is result of the harsher economy. Since most broke ladies can’t rob bank or do yahoo they will use what they have to get what they want. And that is their body. The tools and products they have and market which include yansh, breasts. e.t.c are their workshop. The bigger and enticing it gets the more advantage they have over others not knowing that the more valuable it is too for ritualists and human parts hunters. ![]() |

Imagine lazy mentality police culture in Nigeria telling people indirectly that if young women gets missing they won’t investigate but attribute it to hook up culture just like they removed their hands from anything that resembles Fulani herdsmen crime even if the people are not Fulani. This is a problem Peter Obi would have drastically minimized in his first six months in office unlike the Ajala fool sitting there without any single thing to show for except propaganda for almost two years now |

10 young women go missing in Ogun state daily!!?? Imagine the number of serial killers moving about freely in Nigeria. I’m predicting that some individuals will one day be paraded after police dig up about 5,000 human heads buried at their farm. |

The ONLY thing that leads girls to HOOKUPS PROSTITUTIONS DOUBLE DATING OLOSHO etc depending on what you call it is GREED AND LAZINESS. They do it because it's easy and requires little or no investments. I NEVER PITY THEM, NO MATTER WHAT EVIL THAT BEFALLS THEM. THEY BROUGHT IT UPON THEMSELVES. |
