So it's your private money they will use to build a rail service,do you even have any idea what you talking about?
Yes, Tinubu’s boy in Alausa should use my private money given to him as tax, plus the corporate taxes and federal allocations he gets on my behalf, to build the railway and employ workers to run and maintain it.

If they have failed to employ workers to provide free basic education, free basic healthcare, pipe borne water etc, then what are they doing with all my money, to be loading me and my unborn children into gbese ayérayé?

Do you have any clue what this is about huh

If up until now, you still haven't seen any rail line in Lagos, it's either your hatred for good governance has blinded you to realities or you've never even been to Lagos, let alone live there. Therefore, I can't help you.

However, kindly show us the rail line built by your state government. Or at least the plan or blueprint.

If someone is performing, cheer him on to do more and pls do your checks before exposing your ignorance!

Bros, it is allowed! Let them have migraine self. The hatred is just too much.

For some of them who might say this guy is their fan or supporter, I am not even a lagosian but I am a lover of performance and good things while I also pray and expect that my state governor wakes up to the realities of 21st century like that of Lagos.

Lagos state is embarking on ambitious projects, yet some naysayers say someone has the state in his pocket.

If the other 36 federating units are doing things to advance their states, we won't be here today fighting over tax bill that would benefit other states even more.

What resource does Lagos have?

Some would say it was the former federal capital. What was the state of Lagos when it was a federal capital that made them move it to Abuja?

Those days, you'd see heaps of refuse on road medians. Indiscriminate burning of refuse. Disorganized transportation system. Poor school infrastructure and a consistent lack of any plan.

In 2002, Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) was set up. We knew who was in power then. The mandate of LAMATA was to reform the transport system in Lagos state. That agency even went as far as hiring transport experts from the UK to run it. 22 years on, no one can boast that LAMATA failed.

When they started dividing the road medians in Lagos, we all complained and wondered why someone would be so senseless to divide our roads when there was transport problems. When the first blue BRT bus rolled in and blared the horns on that corridor, people started leaving their cars at home to enjoy the BRT facility. LAGBUS also started running and the transportation landscape in Lagos changed.

In 2006, Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) was founded. The mandate was simple: regulate outdoor advertizing in Lagos. You see those backlit billboards in Lagos? LASAA gets a lot of money. If you go to Times Square in New York City, you'd find such lighted billboards. We know who was in charge of Lagos when it was set up.

The first medical emergency service in Nigeria, Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), was founded in 2001. Who was in power then?

Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) properly started addressing waste management in Lagos state during someone's administration. They employed thousands.

One could go on and on. The point is to remind the young ones who do not know the history of how Lagos evolved, but want to rewrite it from their reservoir of ignorance and hate. The question is whether Lagos had the natural resources then. They had the natural resource every country needs: brains.

The Lagos success is a case of visioning and planning.

Therefore, other states need to do something. Gather yourselves, including the opposition, and come up with a development agenda for your state for 20 years. Irrespective of who comes into power, FOLLOW the template. Put the people first. Government is to cater for the people. Look at the lofty things Donald Duke did for his people and how his vision was not continued. Today, Calabar would have been the destination for international holiday makers and fun seekers.

Well done Lagos state.

Eko o ni baje o.
God bless you for this patriotic comment.

Other states need to step up their game, for real.

Are they not in the same Nigeria as Lagos state?

It's a matter of time. Whatever happens in Lagos always spreads to the rest of Nigeria.

This is why we say Lagos is the Economic Capital of Nigeria.

There was a time you could only see flyovers in Lagos. Nowhere else.

Today even Abakaliki and Gombe have flyovers.

Come back here in the next 15 to 20 years, and this intra-city rail will be in EVERY STATE.

Nigeria should be regionalised so that other states can also develop like Lagos. As it stands now in Nigeria, Lagos is taking other states resources, Lagos have oil headquarters that belong to other states, have seaports and international airports and block others from having through federal might. Bank headquarters in Lagos. All VAT paid to Lagos.

For some Yorubas this is right because it benefit them, that is why Nigeria is not working. Let’s every state and regions be given equal opportunity to thrive not only one state taken it all.
So as an investor, if you want to site your operational headquarters, you will leave a functional and strategic location filled with opportunities and go to a bush. Some of you guys reason from your anus.
