I don’t really think Assad and his army or allies lack the capacity to confront this rebellion, they just don’t want to shed blood of ordinary Syrians… too many lives have been lost in this last decade! Nope turkey idea was to push the kurds from the border states around Syria deep into Syria then resettle the mirgants in those places.... Thus creating a buffer zone between the kurds in turkey from other regional kurds..... The kurds are one of the largest ethnic group in the middle east without a country of their own.... I think they nearly 30-40 million spread across turkey, Iraq, syria and Iran.... So the rebel group is the best weapon because it can serve their bidding... Also they can clean the entire area of Iran influence.... Giving them more power to leverage over the western power
