Nigerian music icon, Davido, has shared his perspective on cannabis, commonly known as weed, stating that he doesn’t consider it a hard drug. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In an appearance on The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido responded to criticisms regarding his openness about using cannabis while also pledging to combat drug abuse. The singer revealed that his foundation will contribute to orphanages and support efforts aimed at addressing drug abuse, particularly among young people.

He explained, “This year, I’m donating to the fight against drug abuse among youths. I don’t consider weed a hard drug. Some people criticize me for smoking it, but I don’t see it as a drug.”

Addressing the broader issue of addiction, Davido noted, “A lot of people are going through difficult times. Drug addiction is becoming more widespread, so I want to donate to help those struggling to quit.”

He’s correct..

Cannabis Sativa is a natural plant, not a synthetic formulated drugs. Drugs are made by mostly industrial chemist inside lab but Cannabis grows naturally on land..

However, Cannabis can be induced with different chemical process - hence why we have strains like Loud, Arizona, Colorado etc..

For example:

- Loud is being produced by soaking cannabis inside Ethanol! This is why it smells differently from ordinary cannabis..

- Colorado is being produced by addition of some Chemical compounds into cannabis..

An ordinary weed is good. People don’t smoke it mostly anymore because it doesn’t high that much and it smells that naturality plant..

So, yes, you can induce cannabis just like they do induced the plant that cocaine is made from. But an ordinary weed is good for the body! Ordinary weed is what they call local weed!

I modified this cuz of people that been quoting me. I understand they’re just misinformed..

NDLEA does not arrest weed smokers. They only go after weed makers & sellers... And even, NDLEA don’t arrest them because weed is drug, but because weed is Illegal in Nigeria..

Weed isn't drug. We will still later legalize weed in some States in Nigeria with regulations.
