I think a person should be sensible and realistic.
Personally, I'm not an eye service kind of person, but at the same time, I'm realistic enough to know I have to do a bit of it to get far in my career.
You must be a "team-player". I'm not corrupt, but neither am I a puritan.
In general, don't be out of place, else you will booted out of the place.
