Police In Rivers State Neutralize Notorious Greenland Cult Leader In Ahoada West Local Government.

The Rivers State Police command has neutralized Ikem ThankGod aka General 2 Man a notorious Greenland cult leader known for kidnapping and armedrobbery in Ahoada East and West Local Government Areas.

The Commissioner of Police,CP Mustapha Bala during a press briefing said the hoodlum has been wrecking havoc in Ahoada East and West LGA communities particularly Obologbolo community and Akinima Division.

CP Bala stated that preliminary investigation shows ‘General 2 Man’ was responsible for many violent crime.

CP Bala listed the killing of boat driver in December 2023,Shooting of one Police officer SP Bello during rescue of Adebayo a Kidnap victim and killing an igbo man after collecting ransom.

The Rivers Police Boss said ‘General 2 Man’ also Snatched a red colour toyota camry and responsible for incessant vandalization of pipeline and crtical insfracture.

CP Bala also listed killing of Oil company workers,the murder of a couple on March 5,2024.

CP Bala discloses that the cases involving ‘General 2 Man’ were pending and under investigation when he met his waterloo on Friday,December 5,2024 when he wanted to carry out another operation

2AK -47 rifle,five magazines and 20 round of live ammunition were recovered from the cultist.

The Rivers Police Chief revealed that other members of the gang escaped with bullet wounds.He urged members of the public to report to the nearest Police station if they see anybody with bullet wound.

We call for synergy to maintain peace and safety of lives and property” CP Bala stated.

The Rivers State Comissioner of Police, revealed that the command have initiated confident building patrol throughout the night in month of December that will go round all the nook and crannies,raiding all the criminal hideouts.

CP Bala also disclosed that the command have upgraded security along Omagwa-Isiokpo- Elele road with additional deployment.
