You ought to have a building plan and follow through what's on the design to know the size of block to use assuming whoever did the design is a true professional and not some quack.
If you have a building plan, where you have 225mm along building wall lines represents 9 inches blocks and 150mm for 6 inches.

Consider using 9"

That will amount that your column are at least 9" columns (which is the minimum column section)

2) with the method of constructing residential buildings in Nigeria (unframed structure) block walls eventually becomes load bearing. As such you are better off using 9" especially at the ground floor Area.

If you are on budget, talk to your engineer to see which walls (usually partitions upstairs) are not load bearing and substitute with 6"

The advantage of flat roof!

But flat roofs are not inclined enough to give the solar panels the required reflective angle.
For optimal rays from the sun to reach the panels, both must be at 90 degrees (perpendicular) to each other.

Now, here is where it gets tricky.
The sun is only overhead ( straight 90 degrees with a flat roof) just at around midday.
For the most of the day, after rising at the East in the morning with little intensity, the sun orients to the the west for the rest of the day. And this duration is when it it most intense.

Therefore, ideally the solar panel should incline to make that 90 degrees with sun rays coming from the west.

A flat roof would need additional studs to achieve this orientation unlike an already inclined roof.

Yes, you need all of the highlighted materials. Genesis profile is for the kitchen and bathroom wall edges while Gum is used to support wall tiles.
