Beloved Nairalanders, as I write this, I'm the Most depressed and frustrated boy alive. Trying to narrate my current ordeal sends shivers down my spine.
For crying out loud, I didn't kill my parents so why has God put me in this kind of situation?

I've been living with my uncle for over 15years since I lost my parents. I lost them when I was 11yrs. His wife hates me so much and would kill me if she has the chance. She has never hidden her hatred for me, and every member of the family knows but what can they do? Nothing. I'm the errand boy, I do all chores. I wake up first and sleep last. I wash my uncle's cloth and iron them, run every errand while the children do almost nothing to help out. I can't even have an hour freedom to go out. I only eat once in a day, she doesn't allow me entrance into her kitchen, I can only eat whatever she gives me. I can't even soak garri and drink. She starves me. What kind of life is this?
According to what I learnt, my father was her nightmare when he was alive. My father was a no nonsense man and was always against the way she was mistreating her husband(My uncle). This is a woman who is not just wicked by evil. She controls my uncle, seems like she has hypnotized my uncle and turned him against every family member. Whatever she says is what stands. Nobody from her husband's family can visit them.
This woman has done the most despicable and dehumanizing things to me. I've always seen her husband like my father since he was the one who partially saw me through secondary sch until the wife asked him to stop paying my fees. She slaps me at will for not just cause. I intend leaving the house since I'm done with my ND, but I don't know where to go to cos I don't have siblings. Sadly, as a result of the psychological impact of the maltreatment, I couldn't make friends while In sch, I'm anti-social. I now suffer from low self-esteem and inferiority complex.

I hate to be the one to tell you this but that woman does not control your uncle. Rather, she afflicts on you the whims of your own uncle against you. The primary person against you in that house is not that woman but your own uncle who has chosen to allow his wife treat you like rags in his own house.
➜She starves you because your uncle allows it.
➜She is wicked to you because your uncle allows her to be wicked to you.
➜ She makes you do all of the chores in the house because your uncle permits her to do exactly that to you.

You say your father was against the woman when he was alive. Well, it would also follow that your uncle knew this very well yet allowed her full control over you in his own house. That is to let you know that the person your father offended was not just your uncle's wife but also your uncle. 🤔

2. If you can eventually leave, consider spending some time getting professional psychiatric therapy for yourself so you can rid yourself of all that emotional trauma and damage inflicted on you by your uncle(he used his wife to torture you). Also, learn to forgive and go as far away as you can so you can start anew and afresh. 🤔

You didn't make 1 friend in your neighborhood.
You spent 2 years in a Poly and you didn't make 1 friend.

You knew where you're coming from and you couldn't make efforts to intentionally build relationships while in Poly?

What about your Church or Mosque?

You have a (smart) phone and you couldn't initiate and sustain relationships from your department WhatsApp group or course mates?

And you're 26 years?
A young man?

Being in this country alone is traumatic. You better buckle up, look for a sales, laundry, security or cleaning job. And from there you build your life up.

If not, na excuses you go continue give in the next 4 years when you will be 30..
If you like, go give girl belle when you don dey stay on your own and hustle.

Mr man, will you grow a spine and leave that place? You are too old for this card you want to play. Carry yourself and go into the world and see life for yourself. According to your story, anything will be better than where you find yourself. Go and look for bakery work. Most of them work overnight and there is always somewhere to linger until you find your destiny helper.
