Amaechi onced asked on TV 'Are we Biafrans'. People may argue that Biafra and Igbo are two different identities but he also declared that he is not Ibo at a certain function. I remember it was in his early days in APC, during his romance with Buhari around 2014.

It seems they have igbo roots. My aunty is ikwerre and speaks igbo fluently, also her native language that seems to have some igbo in it. My paddy maxi orlu okey is also ikwerre and speaks both igbo and the other native language discribed earlier.

Ok. Is there anything about Ikwerre that suggest they may not be Igbo ? I don't know everything about them but from the little I know they are are simply a continuation of the sprawling Igbo communities in Abia.
