Exactly my thoughts. I feel this is being ignored because of their race. Both individuals are clearly suffering from mental health issues and the system failed them. They should have been detained at some point for psychiatric assessments. Unfortunately, instead of receiving the help they need, they are being criminalized on top of underlying insanity.

The couple believed in and practiced the sovereign citizen conspiracy theory. To some extent, they are more Knowledgeable than most of you on Nairaland. The reason the police arrested them is because of what happened to their child. In the West, every child with a birth certificate is a property of the government and the government has the right to do whatever they want with the child, irrespective of the opinions of the parents. The parents declared their sovereignty by denouncing British Citizenship which is valid, but they were arrested because of what happened to their child, who happened to be the property of the government.

That’s level 3 of breaking away from The Matrix. Their crime is only because of what happened to their child. Most of you here as still in sleeping peacefully in The Matrix!
