The Lovers of Ijaw Nation Organization (LINO) would be launching the Ijaw Language Engineering Central Dialect at Agadagba Igbedi the Ancestral Home of the Ijaws otherwise known as the Yoruba's Ile-Ife, the Igbo Nri and the Hausa's Sokoto of the Ijaws.



It would make Ijaw have fully balanced movie industry, fully balanced music industry as well language teaching sector from Apoi West Kingdom in Ondo, to Ibeno Kingdom in Akwa-Ibom thereby all Ijaws across the 2,848 villages and settlements that make up the Ijaw Nation be able to communicate smoothly in one like never before.




Date: Saturday February 15th 2025.

Venue: Agadagba Igbedi National Pavilion....

Your ijaw is a social club at best. The same ijaws will be the first to tell you this. A Nigerian ethnic group discovering a new language? The first sign of identity for any ethnic group in Nigeria, is the language. Ijaw as "major ethnic group", is a creation of federal Nigeria. At best ijaw is a platoon of sparsely populated offshore enclaves, brimming with fishermen in their full natural glory. All these new desperate attempts to project them as regional power brokers are laughable. They control nobody but themselves.


In any event, most of the people you call ijaw don't even speak or understand ijaw. Someone somewhere after filling his fat stomach with raw ogogoro, will proceed to use a ruler and tape to pin ijaw nationality on any group of people living by the sea shore. It worked for few minutes at some point, but folks are already pushing back against the charade.
