Nowadays, if you see a so-called born again Christian, you may not be able to differentiate them from a sinner. In this case, not just in dressing, but in character, integrity, sexual purity etc.
A so-called born again today may be engrossed in worldliness, worldly music, exam malpractice, bribery, inflating prices to get unjust gain, dressing seductively, doing make-up like a prostitute, fornicating or committing adultery, dancing worldly dances etc. Though we still have several genuine born again Christians.
In the past, a genuine born again Christian may not need to explain his or herself as born again. The attitude, character, integrity etc. shows.
Two issues that makes born again of the today to look "different" from the past is worldliness and compromise. There may be other issues too.

Moral cleanliness came first under the Old Covenant, but in the New Covenant of Grace, spiritual cleanliness [the New Birth] comes first, followed by moral cleanliness, which is a form of character development. They become the same when that old born again becomes born again in doing those sins and more.

Help means you still have to do the main work. And God has helped but i can see you are not doing anything.

The new is the same with the old.

Deuteronomy 10:16
"Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked"

Jeremiah 4:4
"Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem"

The Law Commanded us to be born again. So this is where you see The New Testament is a Restatement and a Final Repetition of what you call old testament, thus, The Law and Covenant is still running as Jesus Warned!

The problem is that people are being deceived, hence making them believe they are born again when they are not.

We also have more self seeking ministers than those that are servants of God.

Our own is to have a circumcised heart and turn away from sin.and come to God for cleansing whether a purified or consecreated levite (old) or Christ (The Son of God Who is definitely greater and better than the Levite priest)

Once we leave this earth without repenting of our sins and without being saved by the Lord Jesus Christ, Love of God is over.

Most always claim to have a personal relationship with God..The gods of religion are man made and serve to satisfy those that believe. For me , "I was with the Creator before I was born, I walk the earth today as the Creator representing himself as me, and when I die I will return to the Creator". So my brother I'm not really religious I just do what's right. . I use my mind . A very great tool ... I always enjoy our convo.. Bless up my brother..
