Obviously he went to pay, before the keys to the room were given to him, of which i believe he didn't force the lady into the room.

If she was intoxicated and woke up the next morning to see him next to her then it's most likely rape.

However if she wasn't intoxicated and woke up next morning it's probably not rape cos she was fully aware of everything and won’t have to sleep comfortably till the next day if she felt she was unsafe.

The belief that in this country, anything goes. The 'anyhowness' that defines so many aspects of our national life including sexual mores and norms.

There has to be the Nigerian equivalent of a re-education of menfolk - and it has to start here in this country. That re-education stands (or should stand) on its own merit.

There are more and more young men leaving this country for greener pastures. Unfortunately, far too many of them will get the re- education they so desperately need in foreign jails - all because they took their 'anyhowness' with them to a strange land.

Some posts on this thread will definitely mislead some ignorant young (and not so young) men here who intend to relocate...but who don't have a clue about how other countries deal with their womenfolk. There is only one destination for those men: jail and then deportation.
