Water is wet. Isn't that the norm? My take on this matter is that not all players can be effective with this norm. Not everyone will be perfect in that role like messi/Ronaldo or robben/ribbery or Hazard/salah.

So, as a coach,you need to study and understand your players and play them to their strengths. Some left footed wingers are more effective from the left while some right footed wingers are also more productive from the right. You also need to study your opponent as a coach. Madueke like Ziyech would have been better playing from left in some games While you switch the right footed ones to the right.
