N50,000 to N100,000 is a frequent average daily withdrawal by customers at most POS stand.

The person who made use of the Card might have gone to a very long distance to withdraw the money😂

maybe ur dad forgot his ATM where he went to withdraw last... It has happened to my dad multiple times.... Follow ur dad to d bank... To at least know d location where d money was withdrawn... D thief go still go back if uno catch am

Op just them them to move on but be careful with the new atm card, never share the pin with anyone.
There is no point wasting money chasing 50k as you will likely waste money and time.

your daddy use to send someone to withdrew money for him in that neighborhood or your mum ask him or mum well

There should be a way to track POS, Just imagine if it is the whole amount that is gone.. In Nigeria when your iPhone is missing, police or any body will not be able to find the phone for ever, and when your money get withdrawn you will not be able to track it.. is too bad.. There should be additional security, what are they using BVN OR NIN, for it is just too useless, it is the 50 naira they like to collect from both side of the transaction that they know about..

Don’t waste time, block the card first, that’s the first thing you should do,
Then your dad should go to his bank tomorrow and request for statement of account , it will better explain where the money went to

How them take get him pin??

The bank can actually trace the money if they want to by helping to locate the location of the pos, who like the bank is not at fault in this case, and also the person might be a casual customer who will be difficult to trace, but the bank will ask you to get police report, all these processes will stress you out when you are not even sure you will caught the thief.
Just forgive and let go.

Tell your Dad to Move on... Also tell Dad to change his password and not share it with anyone.
Whichever of your siblings that made the withdrawal will still return it to your Dad in multiple folds as life goes on.

Go to debit card in your bank mobile app. Deactivate. You can activate back when needed

this is the work of an insider. If not they for withdraw all the money. Anyway the man still get something for the Cmas

The 50k debit was carried out by a member of the family, an outside would have emptied the account.

This is sad! I hope you find the way around it.

Kindly look within... Who does he sends the most if you aren't there to withdraw money for him? It's a sad situation but with careful tracing you will definitely get the culprit. All the best.

033 means UBA. However, that's not the best way to go about it. What you should do is this.

Lodge a complaint at your father's bank branch claiming that the transaction was unauthorized. Before you do, note that card present transactions are not eligible for Unauthorized complaints because the card was used physically at the merchant's location. The essence of you raising the dispute is so that an evidence (the merchant copy of the approved receipt) will be given to you as proof.

The receipt should have the location of the merchant store which will give you insight on where the card was used. You can go to the store and lodge a complaint so they can confirm what the person paid for. If the store have CCTV, then you are lucky. You can watch and see your relative cruising with the card.

The whole essence of your lodging a complaint is not to get your money back. Cuz it's gone like the gunners. The goal is for you to be lucky enough to see who stole and used the card.

Lastly, you should have cut the account balance part. Cuz if the thief de Nairaland, you don let am know say 900k plus still de available at im disposal to withdraw.
