Realtord43:We were league champions two seasons before Conte and Conte was a seasoned vet with numerous league titles. Who in this Chelsea squad are you banking on to carry you to league glory? It will be a miracle to even get 80points talkless of the 88points minimum we will need to mount a challenge. Anybody putting league title on Maresca is delusional. |

MorataFC:Smh So when you challenge for the league title you aim is not to win it? You are showing signs of mental fatigue. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by MorataFC: 4:28pm On Dec 09, 2024 |
Realtord43:What he said was title challenge not winning. Liverpool has consistently posed a title challenge to Manchester City for the past 3-4 years, while Arsenal also mounted a strong challenge last season. The point being made wasn't about winning the Premier League outright, but rather about presenting a credible title challenge. I'm not claiming Chelsea will win, as only time will tell, but to have said if any Chelsea fan believes we can pose a title challenge this season and the next season as 'delusional' is utterly out of sense. |

Last season when we drew 2-2 to relegation bound teams like Sheffield united and Burnley,I specifically said conceding multiple of one goal shouldn't be a problem to a team of Chelsea standard against such teams because we are expected to score more than they can score us,which made me to bring in some examples of teams who have had to come back from two goals down to win on multiple occasions after conceding unexpectedly. Man city vs. Aston villa on the last day of 3 seasons ago should come in mind. If they can score 2,you can score 3 or 4 and ask our managers to build on such mindset instead of hoping we adopt Mourinho's 2004 game approach in big 2024. I was ridiculed, insulted, and asked if the game was basketball? Surprisingly, the team did what was expected for any team to do when in such situations. Accepting that you have conceded but you can also score more, and we did just that in the most beautiful fashion and i am yet to see Port-Harcourt second born timbros and his people to ask why we should conceded a goal to fucking Tottenham like they always ask last season, when they always expect us to just go into a match hoping not to concede and score one goal as if mistakes doesn't happen in football that can make you concede even without anybody's fault. I guess the L hits very hard this time . Anyways,to cut this long story short,i will advise all those one who are quick to insult and denigrate other people's opinions here like @Leyqute to ask questions rather than trying to be mad like he was trying to do yesterday. |

Ibime:Lmao He does need competition, Nkunku isn't an out and out striker, and that's a profile we're still missing 😂😂😂 |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Unlimited22: 4:39pm On Dec 09, 2024 |
Ibime:I agree with his behaviour being unpalatable, and it was quite silly of him to not check his boots out before the game My comment Referred specifically to how he responded on the pitch to basically assisting both goals against us. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by popizaino(m): 4:43pm On Dec 09, 2024 |
Ibime:I totally disagree with this. How will he know that a boot he has worn most of the time/career would suddenly cause him to slip not once or twice in a match of that calibre before then? Even if the boot was manufactured that very day for him,he isn't a shaman to know that boot will cause him trouble on the pitch. Even in amateur football/basketball that we play here,we have had to wore boot/sneakers they were all feeling perfect on our feets before we go back to change them during the game due to one reason or the other. So for me,i don't blame him |

popizaino:There's no how you won't discover your boot has fault during an hour long warm up. |

Realtord43:He's being too aggressive with a very simple point. I think what he's trying to say is simply.....'no Chelsea fan should demand that Maresca wins the league this season or the next. But if it happens, then we should take it'. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Realtord43: 4:53pm On Dec 09, 2024 |
Capaldi:I understand you, it just mentality from the player to go for it since the opportunity and part way seem clear to go for the league, the squad is large and robust enough to aim for the league now, City is likely out of shape while Arsenal, we know how the always end up, so it just liverpool to compete with, it's actually a good time now to go the league cause you never know how City, who are the main challenger will reinforce next season. Our best chance maybe now even though its was not in our plan at the start the season, there is no too much success to be achieved. Beside, Maresca has work with Pep and he won the championship with Leicester city, so he not new to Tittle challenges. |

popizaino:Different boots are suitable for different conditions. He did warm up in those conditions (it had been raining), so he shouldn't blame kitman for him choosing to play in dry weather boots even when he has tested the ground during warm up I always wear dry weather boots even in rainy conditions cos I liked my Total90 boots which have blades rather than studs and are good for playing with your foot on the ball. I will rather sacrifice every other thing including stability on the ground or speed in order to wear my Total90s because it suited my dribbling style of putting my foot on the ball and it was a very wide boot which allows you better touch. The other boots for wet ground come with studs rather than blades and studs are not the best for dribblers who like to dribble from the top of the ball. It was his choice, so no need blaming kitman |

nateevs:Almost every one know when the season began, our only demand was top 4 finish, and now its seem finishing top 4 is almost certain but also there is a clear part way to challenge for the title as well, I think it will unambitious from the fan, player and coach to say we can't challenge for the league now. When Tuchel came, we just hoping to make it to a least the knockout stage of the UCL, but we ended up winning it. It just the mentality to go for it |

I will take Sesko over Gyokeres we need a box presence considering the lack of outlet in the attacking band. Gyokeres and Jackson are similar stylistically we need a different profile to complement him |

Realtord43:There's nothing certain with over 22 games to go. This was last year table after 15games. Arsenal finished 2 points behind City despite 6 points ahead, Liverpool finished 9 points behind, Chelsea finished above United despite being 8 points behind.

Stop acting like underdogs. You have spent more than a billion. Anything less than a title challenge is failure.

Enzo Maresca has become the first Chelsea manager since Antonio Conte to win a PL game after being 2-0 down. This is the first time since April 2018. 😳🤯#CFC |

Lmao KDB that spent half the season injured made FIFpro World 11 over Wirtz. Let's even leave Palmer first and chalk it up to chelsea being midtable for over half the season Wirtz? How? And what in the name of Allah is Ederson doing there? |
