popizaino:No need reading all you typed when few lines you dropped shows that this write up is seriously flawed. No one would have complained if we conceded 5 goals to sheffield if only we didn't concede foolish goals every game. Why pretend scoring 60 and conceding 50 is ideal? You guys are too dishonest here. |

Enzo Maresca: “We need our fans, home and away. I will tell them now in this moment that we need them against Brentford. It won't be an easy game so we need them to help and push us." On if Chelsea's win over Spurs is his biggest as manager: "I don't know, to be honest. I'm not thinking about this. For sure, it is an important win. First of all, for the way [we won]." "To come to this stadium against this team and then concede two goals, and continue with the same plan shows how the players in this moment are mentally strong." "Personally, I don't consider this game as the biggest win. I've said many times, this team is going to win games against big teams and it is going to lose games against big teams because it is football. The only thing I focus on is how we can improve." "Marc [Cucurella] said to me after the game that he tried to bring emotion into the game. It was probably too much." "It probably was the perfect win for this motivation because we go two goals down, it was the worst picture even if we were in control." "We conceded two goals because of Cucu and a couple of chances from where we wrong in the build-up. We create chances, we controlled the game, we keep the ball. Then at half-time, we changed something tactically, we deserved to win." On Chelsea's mentality: "Very happy. Since we started, we are trying to work in the way we want to play on and off the ball. Also, the togetherness. To come to this stadium and think you are not going to suffer, it's impossible." "We were ready for that. It was probably too much to give away two goals in 15 minutes but it is the perfect win." "Since we started, I have not seen Cole shooting penalties. he good thing about him tonight was Bissouma was marking him man-to-man, so he needs to learn how to play against a team that goes man-to-man with him, but he was fantastic." On how Cole Palmer is so good at penalties despite not practicing: "Because Cole belongs to that kind of players. They are not normal players, they are top players." "Top players do things that normal players, or us, cannot do that. It's because he's top. We can expect this from him." On Romeo Lavia: "Unfortunately he felt something in his hamstring in the last minutes of the first-half. Now, he was working without pain." "I don't like to lose players for five, six or seven games in a row. Even if Romeo was playing fantastic in the first-half but we changed because he had a problem." On Cole Palmer: "Loves football, humble, no strange things and this is the best thing for Cole. Today, young players, if they play one good game they already think... and then they lose the balance. Cole is always the same." On tactical tweak at half-time: "There was no problem, to be honest. I think the plan first-half was working well. We were attacking, in control of the game but conceded two goals. I was very happy." "In the first-half, we had Cole Palmer on one side and Enzo Fernandez on the other side. In the second-half, we had Cole Palmer on one side and Cucurella on the other side. We changed something in behind." "It was just for this reason. I think it worked well in the end and we won the game." Levi Colwill: "We have still got a lot to improve on, when we're ready to push for a title we won't be 2-0 down in the first 10 minutes. That's the level we need to be at and that's what we need to keep working on." On Levi Colwill's comments: "No, exactly. After the game, my message to the players was to be focused day by day, in our session, the next game on Thursday and then Sunday." "The main focus has to be to enjoy the day off and when we come back, 100%, train well, go for the game." [via Bobby Vincent] |

fredoooooo:You are mistaking my love for Chelsea for fighting with Jackson. I have held that strong belief since last season that with Sterling and Jackson replaced with better players we would be a league title contender. It's even more painful as City are snoring this season. We missed this great chance. |

popizaino:I will start this by saying, again, I am not on the attack v defence debate (read this caveat well Airmark, before your start fight again), but this is one of those where I have to interject. What they are saying is not wrong. You cannot be up for it every game. It's not possible. Fatigue, loss of form, coaching errors, they all happen. If your defence line makes a habit of conceding 2/3 every game, then you are going to lose more games/points as a consequence. It does not mean they prefer defensive football. They just prefer that we don't concede goals, instead of the attitude "it doesn't matter, we'll just outscore" It's a very simple concept. |

Enzo5:He's obviously going to have to be moved along Along with players like Sterling, Chilwell, Kepa, Casadei, Badiashile, Disasi, Casadei, Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu etc Plus eventually we're going to have to sell Dewsbury-Hall Joao Félix and Nkunku are firmly blocking his path at AM (not to even include Palmer), while Andrey Santos is returning to join Enzo, Moi and Roméo |

Enzo5:KDB played like 20 games last season in all competitions. City basically won the league without him. Him getting in there na like Messi being named MLS MVP this season that just finished. Proper popularity contest. |

Unlimited22:lol you mentioned casadei twice, he isnt a bad player to keep. Honestly happy about our injury record this season, asides for r.james. Selling sterling won't be easy with the way arsenal are massively devaluing him. January window is coming and only emeka is rumoured to be leaving. My prayer is we buy a quality CB and possibly a CF while offloading the excess. We bought players we actually never needed, they have to buy what the team actually needs |
