oluayebenz:This is not the first time someone has advised the person to calm down because he/she has shown signs of desperation, from applying for a USA visa to a Canada visa after a previous student visa refusal with over 34 password reset on usa visa section . However, I would advise anyone who is spending so much time and energy on a visitor visa that, even if you are eventually granted one, please review the current IRCC laws and update before boarding the plane to Canada so you don’t end up stranded. Some changes have already been made, such as the fact that there is no longer an option to convert from a visitor visa to a work permit. Additionally, the asylum route, which many have been using, is about to face critical changes soon. I wish everyone the best of luck in the Canada visit visa race ! |

Fallenangel0011:Their is no where in Canada you can use visit visa to work. Well, you can get under the table work but think twice, I don talk my own 🙃 |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by affoncad: 12:11am On Dec 08, 2024 |
Fallenangel0011:Prince Edward Island (PEI) is a province in Canada, and like all provinces, it follows the immigration policies set by the federal government. Regarding the Visitor Visa and working in PEI, a Visitor Visa for Canada does not allow you to work and cannot be converted to a work visa under current regulations, including in Prince Edward Island. The person who advised you otherwise is deceiving you. Even many students with work permits struggle to find work to pay for tuition, and some students drop out of school due to lack of funds. Please connect with honest people to avoid being stranded with fake advice! |

Nickelodeon93:You are not acting intelligently but instead coming across as proud and dull. This is why agents will continue to manipulate and deceive gullible people like you. Instead of asking questions, you are trying to bring up childish weak emotional defences. What does this have to do with India or the truth? Please ask your question or dispute the ones that have already been answered, and explain how it is possible to convert a visitor visa to a work permit! and where you can work with visit visa in Prince Edward Island or any part canada ! |

affoncad:Thank You for this Update. I read it online that VV can't be converted to WV anymore but the guy is adamant and still trying to convince me though he's an Agent,I'm not surprised. But from your right up, "Many Students struggle to find work", does it mean there's no job in Canada as My fiance and I are trying to japa with Study visa .. and also, does all Canada School request for Acceptance fee(na the agent talk am ) quite confusing... |

Fallenangel0011:Yes go for the student route if money isn't a problem. That's a good way to go. I'm strictly against visit visa for Japa, that visa no be better visa at all, the struggle no be here |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by oluayebenz: 9:31am On Dec 08, 2024 |
Nickelodeon93:Nobody is stopping anybody not to Japa,,, there's nothing good about that visit visa, where are in 2024. If you have the resources to acquire a visit visa, why not channel your energy on a better visa ? And indians are more accommodating, they support themselves passionately. Indian on visit visa can easily secure a job through their own people but you see our people ehn, once they discover you are out of status, they will begin to avoid you like a plaque |

Fallenangel0011:In your japa abroad, it is crucial not to follow the crowd blindly. Instead, assess your own situation carefully. The same way many Nigerians moved to the UK via student visas in large numbers, only to face disappointment with the struggle for work and high cost of living, a similar trend is happening in Canada. Do not confuse a tuition deposit with the actual tuition fee. I would advise that if you do not have at least one year's worth of fees for a two-year program, do not risk coming to Canada as a student. It is becoming increasingly difficult to secure jobs, and some students have been here for 8 to 10 months without finding employment. Many students are dropping out of school due to a lack of funds. Plan thoroughly and do not let agents deceive you. Many Nigerian students are struggling and feeling depressed here. However, the decision is ultimately yours to make, and you must be prepared to face the consequences. |

You people are talking about Indians.. those people are far ahead of us Nigerians interms of unity and sharing of information and job employment. after COVID when it was possible to change visit visa to work permit it was 80% of Indias who benefitted from that program. How because Indians had more enterprise and they knew the law and employed themselves. Indians have severial hotel's. Indians have trucking schools and trucking companies. Indians has a lot of daycare and cleaning companies and plumbing and electrical companies just name a few.. those people saw the vision in the early two thousand's... it's left for us as Nigerian who are there already to create wealth among ourselves like the Indians are doing. Create companies employee Nigerians and other Africans.. Let's stop this ethnic and religional racism among ourselves.. thanks one love hope we all get there and get the permanent residency.. |

Applied for a Schengen visa and got a year’s visa and yet Canada still haven’t worked on my application. It doesn’t even make sense cause I was going to attend my mums birthday and now the birthday has passed.😂 |

Ikiloba:hello, you don’t create wealth without capital or jobs overnight. India has been given opportunities and advantages over Africans in Canada for decades, even in visa issuance, which they have used to manipulate the system. It’s only recently that things have started to change. If we start pointing fingers at each other, we can begin with you. At least, you arrived in Canada on a visit visa with your family. How did you convert it to a work permit, and did you share that knowledge or keep it to yourself? |

Something else the ‘pro-Indian’s wealth’ folks forget is that only a fraction of Indians in Canada have businesses/companies/Franchises when you compare the population of Indians in Canada. And they mostly are 2nd/3rd generation immigrants, so their parents&grandparents paid the necessary dues. Indian-owned companies also are very high in fraudulent LMIA abuse, they sell it to themselves and have you work almost for free until the cost of LMIA is paid off. Not to mention 3 or more families living in one townhouse. How many right-thinking Nigerian will be willing to do that? The Nigerian-owned businesses/companies(Tech) I know avoid illegal business practices that could result to helfty fines/business closure. Whenever they have a role available and there’s a Nigerian really qualified(not just CV qualified) for the job with valid WP/PR, they hire him/her. You can’t fault that IMO. orjohn24: |

cole19:I don't believe this. Your agent claims your application is pending since July 2023. Pls Request your application number and UCI to order GCMS notes. Some agents use this trick to hide a 5-year ban by pushing applicants to abandon their application. Alternatively, ask for the confirmation paper generated online after applying; it should still be available for download on your portal and contains the information needed to order GCMS notes. |
