SmartyPants:Not sure Tinubu means well. Too many other signs point to the reverse. The drastic increase in hardship since day one of his tenure is an issue. This, coupled with his lavish corruption and luxuries on himself and the NASS simply does not indicate a leader that means well. |

Now this is the affirmation I have been waiting for because NLC has been in the forefront of the "make our refineries work" agenda. For them to confirm it is working then we will accept that it is truly working. Refinery workers are part of NLC anyway and they all cannot be lying to the union. Now I will say kudos to PBAT on this one. |

DeepSight:Don't mind all these clowns A public refinery is selling obviously more inferior products more expensive than a private refinery with better products and you believe this story of the refinery is working. When they are ready they'll tell us the truth. |

SmartyPants:What does Tinubu have to do with a refinery that was started and paid for by Buhari? Well, maybe that at least he didn't tell them to stop the work and focus on Malta |

Alexas58:OF COURSE. DEFINITELY. Look, we have a serious administration in office. Tinubu is not here to joke. I’ve known this man since his days as Lagos governor. Tinubu is a highly strategic, intelligent man. He will sort out this country, and many people abusing him today will be singing his praises in the next few years. |
| Re: Labour Leaders Confirm Port Harcourt Refinery Is Operational, Functioning by SmartyPants(m): 11:41am On Dec 10, 2024 |
Kukutente23:Okay. The difference is that while people like me earnestly hope that this comes true, people like you hope it doesn't. For the same reason I gave before: so that you can claim that you were right and all others were wrong in their choice of candidate. |

Yemmysworld91:Exactly. Personally i have been a critic of this government but on this one i highly commend the president for the political will to pull this off...something OBJ,GEJ and Buhari failed to achieve in their 20 years combined as presidents, only for some bingo to come barking insults at me for commending the government as if me and Tinubu get personal beef. |
| Re: Labour Leaders Confirm Port Harcourt Refinery Is Operational, Functioning by SmartyPants(m): 11:43am On Dec 10, 2024 |
Kukutente23:And was there any point at which you stopped and gave Buhari credit for this? ![]() Since you surely didn't give the credit to Buhari, you can give it to his brother Tinubu, after all, as I have often heard, Tinubu put Buhari there and is therefore responsible for all the hardship Buhari brought. So also the good deeds of the Daura man. No? |
| Re: Labour Leaders Confirm Port Harcourt Refinery Is Operational, Functioning by Believeintruth: 11:44am On Dec 10, 2024 |
Yemmysworld91:You don't have sense honestly. So criticising the government when they plan an obvious propaganda means they want the country to fail abi. Have you people forgotten how you maligned Jonathan when he wanted to remove subsidy which they was the best time to remove it. Also Labor leaders can be easily bought over, how can a refinery start being functional when the calibration has not started or has not been done to get goos quality distillate? |
| Re: Labour Leaders Confirm Port Harcourt Refinery Is Operational, Functioning by Believeintruth: 11:45am On Dec 10, 2024 |
Kukutente23:Refinery that has not been calibrated to determine the quality of its distillate. |

DeepSight:But when you say this it sounds like you are saying Tinubu just sat down and said let me see what I can do to make the Nigerian people suffer. Come on. Clearly, the suffering is as a result of well-intentioned policies. I agree that he has not helped matters by being lavish but you should also understand that any effective president knows that he must get the National Assembly on his side in order to push through with reforms, and Tinubu's reforms have been bold so far. Without a supportive National Assembly things like the current Tax bill would have been dead on arrival from day one. |

Is that ceiling made of wood or what ? That cannot be a refinery. It’s not possible |
| Re: Labour Leaders Confirm Port Harcourt Refinery Is Operational, Functioning by lexy2014: 11:49am On Dec 10, 2024 |
Tinubu2027Agend:thats not what I asked you. how has that "political will of Tinubu's government to make it work by fire by force" improved the living standard of nigerians, reduced inflation, corruption, insecurity, unemployment, budget padding, impunity, wasteful government spending, cronyism and nepotism? how has this "political will of Tinubu's government to make it work by fire by force" improved public infrastructure and government social services to the people of nigeria? |

TUANKU:since you went to primary and secondary school and you are not sad for your parents and those around you and you are not "one of those numerous illiterates on NL", am surprised you cant answer the simple questions. how do you know that the refinery is "coming back"? where did it go to before? |
| Re: Labour Leaders Confirm Port Harcourt Refinery Is Operational, Functioning by LegacyB: 11:52am On Dec 10, 2024 |
TUANKU:Well written but also note that even Tinubu praised the Buhari’s government for this cos he only completed it . |
| Re: Labour Leaders Confirm Port Harcourt Refinery Is Operational, Functioning by Kukutente23: 11:55am On Dec 10, 2024 |
SmartyPants:Tinubu did not put Buhari there. That is the biggest political fallacy I ever heard. Even Tinubu never made that claim in his Emilokan speech. He referenced Buhari's failure in previous attempts but he never said he put him there. That was the imagination of Tinubu's sycophants. I can't give Buhari credit for what is not yet working. A working refinery is not just a question of lights on. It should have products we can see in the market. No one has come to tell us that NNPC refinery is now supplying them fuel. But like I said and is common knowledge, the repair of the refinery was initiated by Buhari and he already completed payment for this particular one. The rest of the refineries if they come on will be due to Tinubu. That said again, there is no credit to give yet for anyone with a brain |

SmartyPants:Well lets look at the instant subsidy removal on day one. Well, they claimed it was gone. How come the price went up again and again? In fact the only place in the world where prices are increased two weeks after a nationwide protest was here. The only place in the world where PMS prices were increased in one day by over 200 per cent was here. Instantly you then float the naira and make everything worse. Can you just look at the prices of groceries and foodstuff - and medicines? Do you know how many people have died as a consequence? Look, its not good enough to say he must have the NASS on his side and therefore bribe them. That is corruption. As for the TAX Bill - it is not enough. The only contentious issue there is allocation of VAT. This is a man who led protests against subsidy removal in 2012 on the streets. He didnt waste one second once inaugurated and removed it totally with four cynical words. Tell me, was that honest? Okay, you then also remove electricity subsidies - drastically causing greater problems. Look my brother, when Tinubu won, I actually thought it was a good thing because he is a visionary businessman. However lets admit he is not doing well. Tell me, what is he doing with France? Is that not corruption? He has made this country the slave of the IMF and WB. I dont think its right to say this kind of leader means well. He is out to destroy Nigeria and kill many of its people with harsh policies while he lives large. Why did he buy a new jet? Was it necessary? Why did he grant Chagoury a N15 Trillion contract - which was not approved by the NASS or even considered at all. It didnt go through any form of procurement rules of the BPP. There are too many things to point to. Its not enough to say "he means well" when people are being killed by his harsh policies. |

SmartyPants:That's your imagination. The fact is most of you sycophants only want something you can brag with not that you really care if anything improves in Nigeria. You all were the same folks praising Buhari for rice pyramids. Now that the pyramids have been proven to be a scam, no one is hearing anything from you. Same goes for the economy crashed by Buhari. You joined Buhari to blame Jonathan and you are helping Tinubu to blame Buhari today. So your so-called hope is not because you really care that it works but so you can brag. Don't come here acting like you're so morally up there and love this country more than anyone else |
