BREAKING: Dele Farotimi denied bail, remanded in prison custody until December 20/2024

The magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has denied the human rights activist, Dele Farotimi, bail.

Farotimi was arraigned in court for alleged defamation of the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola.

In his ruling, at the resumed sitting on Tuesday, the presiding magistrate, Abayomi Adeosun, adjourned the application of bail to December 20 after the counsel to the police, Samson Osobu, proved that the bail application submitted by the defendant was incompetent and irregular.

Sowore is damn right! You cant be fighting against injustice and go appeal someone... Can Afe try this in UK? No!

Can he even try it South Africa? Again no!

A civil matter remains a civil matter, until its proven otherwise!

If you want to fight, fight...otherwise join the other side!

The day I began to like Sowore was when he took his baba to the court...lets see if the judge will have mind to fight a political battle using some else freedom!

It appears PO didn't know how Deep the Swarm is, or he is just trying to pretend!

Nigeria at this point, don't need someone who will grant any quarter to all these thieving crooks bent on rigging & entrenching themselves at the detriment of the country!

As far as I'm concerned, Dele Farotimi is Igbo IPOB.

This case would serve as future deterrence to the above mentioned

By next court hearing,the magistrate will be unavailable

I thought Sowore said the court granted him N50m bail yesterday? I don’t understand

The allegations made by Dele is against the judicial system in Nigeria hence expecting him to get justice from the Nigerian Court is myopic, to say the least.
