But any merger for Atiku Abubakar to be the presidential candidate while Obi is his vice will fail the PDP.

U mean Atiku has learnt his lesson which is not contesting anymore and supporting Obi!
Obi only learnt that he is more popular than he ever thought!

That is not true.Atiku only needs to win majority of votes in NW and NE and 25% votes in most NC states then Peter Obi will deliver SE and SS it is game over.
Majority in NW and NE, how?

This is the impossibility of the century, the fact that he is aligned with PO will greatly reduce his vote in his home state.

You forget the Vice president is from NE, before now he was a nobody, now he is a vice president like Atiku with influence and money.

During the last election, the outgoing president wasn't involved with the election he remained neutral, now all the political works are in place, so NW is gone.

There's a fact that the NW obviously feels they will produce the next president after Tinubu, if they help Tinubu onto his second term, if they allow Atiku, he will definitely use up the quota for the north and they will have to wait another 16 years to be considered, in addition to the fact that Atiku won't pick from NW for his vice presidential candidate.

The only glimmer of hope for the opposition to take over power from the APC is an Atiku/Obi ticket. Obi's candidacy is another sure win for APC.

@bolded,

This is where you black africans routinely get it wrong. At this stage, we don't need just about anything, we need credible people NOT known corrupt politicians from APC and PDP.

If you guys are working to bring back the likes of Atiku and Obi, y'all are in for a long thing; you will only be extending your years of suffering.

Mark my comment for future reference. cool

Must NW produce the president?
All former presidents from the North Shagari,Yaradua and Buhari are Fulani from northwest.
Atiku is Fulani from NE.For the fact Tinubu's government is not living up to expectation is the reason for the whole nation to vote against him including SW.

Oh, yeah?

Please, Mr. America, what options among all of the politicians do you have?

You all want Tinubu out but want Obi to contest to win him. Ain't gonna happen! An Obi on the ballot is Tinubu's second term on a plate. That's Nigeria. Sorry.

You just said, all previous president from the north are from NW, it's a game of Numbers and the NW has the number.

What you don't get is, everything is about personal and regional interest in the North, only the South is sentimental and BTW it doesn't matter who is president, sooner or later we would have faced this issue, the only difference is when.

All that Tinubu needs to do is to stabilize the economy before 2027 that's all it takes. Most especially pump abundance of rice to the public.
Tinubu is in trouble if the opposition unite and enter the 2027 battle in one front...

The time and season are against him...Trump came back to power...even Ghana here have also made a definitive statement.

What will Tinubu campaign with in 2027?...

Nigerians have suffered so much that it will definitely not be business as usual...

Do you want us to make a list of Presidents who have retained their seats for the second time or what has Trump and Mahama got to do with it? What is the Logic? South African President is their for the second time, France.....Putin for many times....the list long.

See in all sincerity, there is no other way except the way Tinubu has started from day one. I give him kudos for starting this transformation on the very first day. Let me tell you, by the time things start to stabilize which is DEFINATE. Atiku, Peter Obi, and whatever imaginary united front will vote for Tinubu. Even you and the whole of your family will vote for Tinubu.

YOU WILL SEE HOW THE ECONOMY WILL STABILIZE BEFORE 2027.

NW votes alone can not win election for any candidate go and ask Buhari.
Combination of Atiku and Obi is a game changer even APC knows that coupled with the fact that Tinubu administration is a disaster to Nigerians irrespective of religion and region.

Political novice

Buhari is not Tinubu

North vs Noth is different from SW Vs North/South East/South South

Buhari is more popular than atiku in core north.

If i may ask, which region is your political ally?

The only way for your oga to win is to write result which other regions will not accept.

Remember; no one will go to court by 2027
Remove south south cos Apc can promise south south to vice under a northern after Tinubu's eight years and that will put to end of any possible vote to any south east. We don't play nzogbu nzogbu politics but smart ones. Fight your political fight only and leave south south alone. Tinubu may even reach out to north central Christians as his preferred choices. You people are playing with the greatest politicians living in Nigeria currently. Tinubu has everything to his disposal to win again. Am not his supporter but he has mastered the act of politicking. Look at labour party house of rep members moving in droves to Apc. Make Una dey play.

If they had learned their lessons by May 2022, TInubu would have been in retirement by now, not in Aso Rock.

PDP should not have reneged on an Igbo president, and Atiku should have sat down and retired. And Obi should have stayed in the party, yes, despite the unfair way he was treated. LIkewise Kwankwaso too.

But here we are. APC was divided too, but Buhari forced his followers to keep quiet and obey tinubu for the sake of party unity, or else they would all be out in the cold. They listened.
if not atiku, who was strong enough to clinch the ticket

You say it like that combination is new, under Buhari that combination didn't work because NW is the powerhouse of the north and the only way to win in the north is to win NW.

If Atiku becomes the flag bearer that will only mean PO is vice, that alone will reduce their votes in the SS, SE, and of course SW will be completely out from it.

That means 60 percent in SE, 55 percent in SS, 50 percent in NC, a 30 percent in SW.

The game is still in the North, Atiku can't replicate his win in NE (remember vice president is from that region) and NW become the queen that everyone wants, trust me they know.

How does the pdp treated Obi badly. What has been is contribution to pdp, outside sharing of campaign fund in 2019. When pdp lost in 2015, he was not seen unlike Wike. Are you using Obi to represent the south east of pdp not zoning it's ticket. Obi that chicken out. Wike was man enough to challenge Atiku and the northern oligarchy in pdp, who want power at all cost. The Muslim Muslim ticket Obi used as propaganda to decive many Christians will not work again in the south. He will lose many votes in south west and south south in 2027, expecially when he became vice again to Atiku, that he has called criminal. All what Tinubu need is to promise Christian in north central in 2031 and vice presidential ticket to south south. By that he will get very high vote in north Central, south west and south south. He will reduce Atiku chances in north east and west. He will just promise north west Senate president and north east speaker. Igbos continue your antagonizing and let us see what you will achieve by that.
