Even those that were in the university in 1979 I heard they serve them a whole chicken every Sunday at the University of Ibadan. In 1979 OBJ was HOS. That's not the case in Nigeria,in Nigeria everyone wants to know who is the president, where is he from, what is his ethnicity , what is his religion, it is their turn to rule etc

That is because we are poor now, if we are gainfully employed rather than worry your self of who is the the president you be more worried about having to make tonight‘s night shift.

It has nothing to do with poverty it's simply tribalism, everyone put his tribe first

There is more to Gowon becoming head of state, he was not supposed to be in that position in the first place, he was put there for a purpose and once that purpose was achieved he was removed, so don't think things done under Gowon were accepted cause things were good no , it was for a reason

The only reason why he was removed is because of the entitlement mentality of the Hausa / Fulani. Any wonder why are people from Benue, Plateau, Kwara or Kogi sidelined when it is the turn of the North to produce a presidential candidate.
