That was how the court came to evict some occupants of a building in my neighborhood last Monday,there has been a court verdict on the property which the landlord didn’t communicate to the occupants,he even collected rent from one of the occupants less than a week before the court came to evict and seal off the building.people started blaming the government instead of the landlord.
When the government revokes a C of O that is genuine,i guess the owners could have been compensated and that’s why they are not in court.

That’s precisely what’s happening. Just as Tinubu grabbed lands in every part of Lagos including a cemetery, he’s replicating the act in Abuja with Wike and dividing the spoils between them. I saw a video of Rotimi Amaechi explaining why he opposed Wike’s governorship at the time, citing his insatiable obsession with money and willingness to do anything for it. Pairing that with Tinubu’s similar mindset creates a dangerous combination.

I am not sure this will resolve the issue. They should go to court and obtain an injunction to stop the demolition first. It's possible they have violated the terms of the existing Certificate of Occupancy, such as not paying required fees or taxes.
