Madness! Where are those praising the inefficient Yemi Cardoso or the incompetent president and his aides? Those driving Nigeria are the worst of us they only got there by criminal activities and brazen acts of impunity supported by corrupt judiciary

This is P2P rates. On official market it is $1520.

-Kiss the truth
The P2P market is the strongest indicator of the rate. ..the offline markets are sure to follow the P2P soon enough.

However I certain this is not the resting rate. It will likely bounce around for a while.

That EFEMS system that the CBN governor introduced and says is using it to appreciate the dollars ..is that a permanent solution to the depreciation of the naira...now the naira has deprecriates back after appreciating for some days... nigeria been a producing economy is the solution to appreciate the naira against the dollars.. more exportation and less Importation.. and nigerians to buy, patronize , value what they have in their own country not always the passion and love and too much demand for foreign things, foreign universities abroad, foreign hospitals abroad, foreign fuel, disel, kerosene, foreign cars, foreign rice and goods all this put pressure on the demand for scarce dollars and weaken and depreciaties the naira against the dollars

Go to the nearest GTB bank near and ask to buy dollars, I promise you they will either not sell to you at that rate or claim they have no dollars to give to you.

The inability of banks to sell dollars to regular Nigerians is the reason the so called speculators exist in the first place.

You don’t need to go there. Using your app, you buy directly from your Naira account and move to your Dollar account and vice-versa

Been trying that on my Access bank app in the past few weeks, that sh*t never works. It's there for fancy. Even tried it in Access bank right in from of Access bank staff! It didn't work.

I ended up buying almost $7200 dollars worth from aboki at different intervals and physically depositing in my domiciliary account instead.

Like I said, if these things were working as it should speculators and the parallel market would never dictate the pace.

You're being clever by half, why did you not post the full article?. You cut off the part that pleases you knowing the gullible ones would fall for it. Where was the rest of the report?. The report quoted P2P platforms selling at $1745.

Below is the rest of the article;

Some P2P exchanges quoted N1,715/$1 while some IMTOs checked by Nairametrics quoted N1,745. Stock trading apps like Bamboo and Trove quoted for N1,730/$1 and N1,736/$1 respectively.

Meanwhile, the exchange rate between the naira and dollar in the official market closed at around N1,525/$1 on Tuesday the strongest close since the EFEM was introduced.
