Like two weeks ago, I had a minor accident and hit a woman with my car. She suffered some abrasions on her legs, which was treated at a nearby chemist shop I took her to. They also gave her drugs to take. The thing is, the people the woman called know who I am. They all seemed understanding and didn't escalate the matter. However, one of them came to my house today to tell me that the woman's leg is swollen and that I need to "visit" her. We all know what the "visit" means. I may have to take her to the hospital. I'm just worried about what happens from here on. I feel like I need to be careful how I handle this or it may snowball into something I can't handle. Like, if I take her to the hospital, then what's next? When will it end? Should I just give them money to take her to the hospital themselves when I go to see her? Even if I do that, what's stopping them from coming for more? I'm really confused as I don't want to appear insensitive and at the same time I don't want to make matters worse. Please, what do you think? |
