Country of jokers, speculators and a system fooling itself and his people, you cannot give what you don't have.you don't have what is takes to make the dollars crash against the náírà,until you tell yourself the bitter truth and turn this country to a productive manufacturing nation, and stop your Total consumption as a country, you will them see the náírà rising drastically against the dollar |

TimeManager:Mr. all these lies won't help you. If naira appreciated against the dollar as you claim then why aren't prices of commodities going down but going up instead?. Please explain. |

You know there is no hope for the country when the people who said N217:$1 is too high and a sign of incompetence are now beating thier chest that $1:N1500 is an achievement. Is that progress? |

I wanted to buy 4k$ today, the aboki said 1700! I said gtfoh! Went to another one, 1730, nearly fainted. Didn't expect it to rise before January. |

NpvnStar:Can you see Buy Option in the attached file? Check the time I did the screenshot. Also, check the time GTBank updated its rate on that screenshot. If they are not buying or selling, they won’t list any rate.

kevoh:I was at Unionbank and they were selling. Access Bank could be working on its app. We can’t rule out the possibility of banks sabotaging CBN’s efforts on this, by selling to Abokis so that we can be forced to go and buy in the black market. |

VanuatuWycombe:They are not working on any thing! I was thinking like you that I would get dollar cheaper on the app and send to Dom account, but apparently there's no dollar buy option on the app. You can't even transfer dollar from your Dom account to another Nigerian bank's Dom account, it's that messed up! Abeg, where's the Union bank location where physical dollar is being sold at #1560, make we begin troop there for some sweet arbitrage! Buy #1560 at Union Bank, Sell at Aboki's for #1700! ![]() Are you sure you have used or have any idea of these things or you are just arguing based on some FX table you saw on GTB bank. All banks have that table, it doesn't mean anything! |

This country is just a joke. When I saw the Naira appreciate to N1665/$ from around N1735 (on a fintech app) following the introduction of the EFEMS last week, something told me to just sit back and watch since it's not like the country is now producing or exporting more - that's the major way I think this debacle can be overcome. Then I saw N1519/$ to sell on the same app on Monday. I was like, "seriously?", so I just looked away. Fast forward to today (just two days later) and the rate had increased by more than N160! Many, or some, of us really want the Naira to appreciate. But the government needs to be seen to be doing what matters most to encourage production, including providing security. Imagine people being killed or kidnapped on their farms, for instance. If production increases and inflation drops, I don't mind having dollar exchanged for N200. What's important is getting value for money. |
