Abioye was the only one that gave Winners Chapel a positive look outside. Now he's gone, Oyedepo and his family Plc have taken over fully. Yesterday it's was Steve Ogah his Son in law coordinating. Then Bishop Oyedepo himself preached. This morning it was Pastor David Oyedepo jnr. preaching and later mummy Faith Oyedepo. And I said what a sad scenario iam witnessing. If after 40 yrs all the leadership you can boast of is just you and your family members.
Kai! why limit God's church to "family-run" affair.

I deeply felt the absence of Pastor Abioye at this year's Shiloh. I thought despite being retired , he would still be present, but it was so shocking that he was not there.

Watching the event on TV yesterday, I couldn't help but feel a strong sense of longing. I've grown to admire and appreciate Pastor Abioye greatly, and his absence was deeply felt by me yesterday. I am not a Winners, but honestly I love BISHOP ABIOYE so much .
I don't know the policies with Living Faith but retired Leaders in RCCG attends the mission's national prog though not complusory.

I personally love Bishop Abioye. He is an example of submission, loyalty and focus. His type is rare contemporaryly

My wife and I kept looking out for him on the ministers podium till the end of service last night, I felt pained, his absence was conspicuous. Well, I'm short of words, That it had to go like this
I didn't see him too, though i looked out for him.

Concerning the topic, I observed that too. Omò church na family business, the earlier we know this , the better for all of us. If you like go and be a slave for a pastor, when the time comes you'll be ditched.
One of Oyedepo's sons left to start his own ministry, no talk. It's Abioye you are talking about grin

You think he is happy to have been retired early based on some newly crafted Church policy just like Nigeria military whenever the president wants to reposition a junior officer he wants as the new Chief of Army Staff cheesy

Oyedepo don arrange his family enterprise succession guidelines to favour his children and erudite pastors like Abioye could threaten the foundation of the church if given the chance to challenge Oyedepo's son in case he is incapable or anything happens to him.

The only way they can accommodate him is for him to attend Shiloh as Bishop Emeritus without administrative powers
I was telling someone that this is what it is about but the person was on the defensive. I think it's clear that it is all about paving the way for his son to take over.

One of the thing God hates most is hypocrisy...... hypocrisy is in the DNA of our gulible Nigerian Christians
Na them dey suffer pass, they will be pretending that all is well with them......

Despite the number of churches in Nigeria and as a praying nation yet the poorest.....

you don’t know anything, Oyedepo raised so many fire brand pastors ,who later left for another ministry, Abioye is also good, but to say he is the only one who gave winners positive outlook is overstatement , the Anointing flow from the head to the garment, without Oyedepo there is no way you would have met Abioye and that is how the story and history will be remembered, do you know pastor Simeon Afolabi, he pioneered Lagos branch 1991, when he is preaching both Oyedepo and Abioye sat and took notes because of the depth of his insight but that does not make him the positive image or whatever you called it , and when Simeon Afolabi left in 1994 despite all persuasions against it , it hurt Oyedepo, but the church still exploded into world biggest and prosperous, as long as the visionary is alive in God , who left or stay does not change God promise to the ministry

My worries is: what are the reasons why the old churches like Catholic, Methodist, Anglican, Baptist, African, ECWA etc built schools, hospitals etc in those days and all present pastors and GOs benefitted, and people use those schools free for survival. But today 's pastors and church owners commercialised school and members can not afford them and GOs are happy?. They can't even build primary and secondary for free or lesser amount. But they keep preaching heaven is real?
Those schools owed by those Churches were sponsored from the West. Anglican, Methodist and many other orthodox Churches do receive subversion from Britain until recently when they opposed man2man/ woman2woman marriages.

Everything our fathers had free was paid for by the mother church from England, thank you.

When an employee retires or get sacks from his/her job, do you expect such employee to return to the same company?

Absolutely, there's nothing wrong when an organisation retired or sacked it's employee but for someone like me that has been in ministry line for a longer period, I will honestly say that Bishop Abioye retirement is purely influenced by a CHURCH POLITICS.
Re: Bishop Abioye's Absence At This Year Shiloh Is Deeply Felt By Me. by Uniquekriss(m): 5:06pm On Dec 11, 2024
I felt his absence, jeeeez, I felt like it was a normal church meeting when I saw Pastor Kezi Yakubu come to introduce Papa for the word session, Jeez, though Abioye is retired but I never expected that he'd ever miss Shiloh, it means there's bad blood or it's beyond just retirement, our church leadership needs to explain to us who have been Winners for several years cos the feeling can't be same without Abioye.

Forget the photo Ops at the retirement ceremony.

All is not well.

He was not there because he was not invited.

Bishop Abioye is vibrant and should have not been let go. He still has a lot to offer His generation

The young ministers conference he started won't sit well in some quarters.

Take it to the bank. The relationship is strained and things will never be the same
Oyedepo was deceiving people with the retirement deception

I wonder why many go to the same place for same request till thy kingdom come!

February - Month of Divine intervention - Dollar go up - Garri don cost! How this one come be intervention wey divine?
March - Month of Sacrifice - I don't think i can sacrifice this transport fare any longer! Make i use leg waka small. Sacrifice no go kill una...
Yes o, the same way your Alfas extort Muslims at nikkah, naming ceremony and other Islamic programs.

That's how one Alfa was placing a curse on anybody that will not drop money at an event.

Your Alfas threaten you people with curses if you don't drop money grin grin grin

If anybody should challenge any religion, it shouldn't be a Muslim because Islam is guilty of EVERYTHING it is accusing other religions about. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Let those considered active by the mission go ahead and do the work. The retired spiritual soilders must be allowed to plan their retirement very well. Life itself is in stages ..

The reason people are complaining is that Bishop Abioye served winners almost all his adult life. At 63 years where do you want him to start from. 63 years is still young in ministry to retire but almost late to start afresh
