Nigeria isn’t really moving forward. We are attempting some radical reforms under Tinubus government though. However, the @PoliceNG should really be given attention.
The practice where every police on regular duty is given assault rifle lacks practical wisdom.
@PoliceNG shouldn’t move around with rifles during regular duty.
-they have their two hands to do important things
-they move more freely and are even able to run well.
-the risk of dragging their weapons with them diminishes
-injuries from accidental discharges lessens

Nigeria is not a war zone. A pistol is enough to handle majority of the challenges they encounter everyday.

Think very well na. If it’s policemen in high way fine. But police on the streets and the ones doing stop and search should hold pistols. Rifles are load

He has his pistol which can make him work smart. Pistol na weapon too na. Rifles are for real combat. You can engage with pistols too and in a more serious encounter like with armed robber, u call in special squad while still holding your ground with pistols.
Nigeria is not a war zone. Rifles are unwieldy

Yes. It’s pistols they use for their day to day work. Rifles are for special encounters and their are special units that are called in on such occasions. Such occasions are rare
