I found this claim interesting, considering that making batteries from radioactive waste is almost a century old tech, so I did a little research, check out the following links:

I even tried to find an original paper in the Nature journal where the above named characters that supposedly invented this battery appeared, but came up empty. Conclusion? Ekanem and Sanni probably had nothing to do with the invention of this tech.
