Edo APC Chairman has defended the embarrassing fumbling of Gov Monday Okpebholo at the presentation of the 2025 Budget presentation at the Edo State House of Assembly.

The fierce APC Chairman directed those criticizing the inability of the Gov to pronounce the budget figure to go to hell and burn to ashes.

English is not our language and should not be used to measure our intelligence. But in this age and time, those who are desperate to lead the public should be able to express themselves in the English language or get interpreters to translate the leaders' public speech to English. I don't mean that they should be able to speak big grammars. What I mean is that they should be able to speak simple English.

Meanwhile, someone gave insecurity as his campaign promise.

It's not even about his ability or inability to correctly express himself...!

My issue is his glaring lack of understanding and grasp of what he was presenting.

A governor that doesn't know what his state needs, what should be budgeted and not budgeted, has no business governing that state.


He can even speak pidgin or Bini, as long as he knows his figures and what his citizens need.

True and effective leadership transcends formal education.

How could that guy have become a senator? What exactly was he talking about in the senate? Or is senator just his nickname?

A guy like that could not have won a normal town union election, let alone senate or governorship elections. How did he convince the voters to vote for him?

This party chairman has poured fuel on the fire. Instead of getting his governor to become a better public speaker, he came up with this provocative nonsense that will most certainly rile even the neutrals.

Much more attention will now be paid to Okpebholo's public speaking and any errors will be mercilessly criticized. This party chairman has his 'work' cut out for him. Let's see how he can curse the governor's critics for 4 years.
